    Walter Crickmer started it all...
In 1958 Manchester United were on their knees. We had lost eight players and two others never played again. Others were injured and needed time to recuperate.

Jimmy Murphy asked for help with players and although there was a lot of talk and false promises...only one club actually helped us out.

In February 1958, Derek Lewin and Warren Bradley were released from their Amateur contracts with Bishop Auckland and signed for United. In addition, Bob Hardisty a former Bishop Auckland player came out of retirement to help our cause.

Yesterday, to mark the 60th Anniversary of the Munich Disaster, Bishop Auckland unveiled their own Munich Clock and held a minutes silence before kick-off.

In addition, they are trying to raise £1,958 for 23 bricks to go onto their club wall to commemorate the 23 people who lost their lives 60 years ago.

If you have a spare fiver, please donate to help Bishop Auckland achieve their target.
