If Moyes can get a decent job after miserably failing at United, can't see why Brendan should ever go near Fulham, QPR and Charlton.

The Swansea job can be his again IMO. They have tricky month ahead. With the exception of Bournemouth home, they have Pool (A), City (A) and Leicester and WH home that are doing pretty well this season.

I can see him getting a glance at the job if they continue on the bad patch.

In other Brendan news: it seems that Rodgers will feel really welcome in his new job working with perma-moron Richard Keys of Bein Sports:

Richard Keys: "Rodgers wanted him out. With Carragher already gone, Rodgers knew that with Gerrard on the way out too, the club was now his - all his."

"Gerrard used his mate Carragher as his mouthpiece to hint at what was going on whilst remaining publicly very dignified. Rodgers has continued to heap praise on his inspirational skipper whilst quietly continuing to humiliate and frustrate him whenever he could".

The former England captain is on tour promoting his new autobiography I, Gerrard.

I saw Gerrard's 'autobiography' in Smith's at the weekend. The cnuts had put it right next to SAF's book on the shelf.

You're truly the lone hero throwing himself on the grenade with all this Heil reading you're doing for our benefit, Steve. Also absolutely love the expression perma-moron and 'his new autobiography I, Gerrard'.

    Brendan's diary

    Captain's log, stardate November 2015:

I've been driving the missus mad each night as I try to solve the mystery of why Liverpool Football Club dispensed with my unique services. To give her a break, I decided to become a pundit on something called BEINSports, as part of my relentless quest of self-improvement. The channel's genial host Richard Keys immediately made me feel at home - by losing to Crystal Palace. His colleague Andy Gray wasn't so friendly though...

"Welcome to our show, Brendan - it's much better than Sky," said Richard, "Andy - say hello."
"Och aye the noo, ye wee yackie sporrrrrrrrachaarrrrr!" Gray shouted with melodramatic passion, in made-up Scottish and with numerous rolled r's.
"You don't have to do the accent, Andy - we're not on camera," Richard replied.

Gray stared at me. His words had a mocking quality. "So what've you been up to, Brendan?"
"Oh, I've been busy doing special, deep undercover junior-team scouting."
    "Who for? Peppa Pig?"

    Bastard.

I'm starting to think that he's actually naked and his skin just happens to look like a black suit, white shirt and black tie.

What an odd 'default' outfit to go for.

That's actually disappointing - he's far better than that as a manager. This sort of move I'd not even expect from Moyes at this stage - both managers seem to overrate themselves but going out to Qatar seems to just be giving-up (and cashing-in of course).

Shame if he doesn't manage another decent sized team. Unlike Moyes I like the style of his football and he did a much better job with Pool than people give him credit for.. much better than what Moyes did with us.

This poxy thread relies on Brendan being rubbish, and being considered rubbish; so, alas, I cannot agree with you.

I'd say that the two situations were completely different, both suitable for mid table clubs.

True. Either way I think Rodgers next move is going to be interesting. . He needs to make sure he doesn't beat himself up too much about the Liverpool job and sell himself short. Next job has to be a decent side in the PL or La Liga.. once you accept a lower league side, thats it.. you'll never get in the big time again. He's only 42 and he does know how to produce good stylish football. . He just doesn't know how to win things. Deserves another chance to prove he has learnt something.

He does have a horrible personality and an awful ego but that hasn't stopped Van Gaal from winning trophies.

    Sorry Steve xox

Both are going to have to accept something lesser, just to build their reputation back up again, and get in the running for the top jobs. Agree that Brentan's next will likely be more interesting than Moyes.

Why wouldn't Swansea approach him to help them until the end of the season? Would give them a much needed boost, and he'll be familiar with the club.

He'd probably view that as a backward step (and, admittedly, he'd have a point...kinda). Anyway, he's holding out for Real Barcamunich.
