Actually it's a girls hockey team.
It's hilarious that you can literally ask to leave the club (odoi) and defy the orders of the manager (kepa) yet still make the first XI.
I wonder what you'd have to do to face a lengthy, disciplinary suspension at Chelsea...
You can shag his daughter and see if he goes all Moyes...
Odoi was substituted with 10mins to go. He didn’t start.
Sessegnon looks like a useful, incredibly versatile footballer but his close control and variety of passing is miles from Hudson-Odoi's, and that's what you're looking for in a winger first and foremost.
Sessegnon seems more like a potential Camoranesi type to me, you could see Hudson-Odoi as a proper star.
Chelsea have got a long record of producing quality players who are forced to leave. We should be looking at this kid as a mata or Sanchez replacement.
You've got Chong (19) and Greenwood (17) who play similar positions and are similar ages to CHO (18). You won't be in for CHO, he's off to Germany.
Hudson odoi is better than chong IMO. We've got Sanchez and mata who we could do to upgrade so there's a couple of places potentially there. IMO i agree that Hudson odoi wants a move to Germany where you can make a name for yourself but we should definitely try for him.
Good goal and assist for Chelsea tonight. In the Europa League this season he’s made 4(4) apps and has 4 goals and 2 assists, or a goal or assist every 69 minutes. He deserves more minutes in bigger game IMO.
He will at Munich next season
How long does he have on his contract? Could we turn his head?
1 year this summer, we could try.
He’s a free agent soon. I’m sure his head could be turned but is he what we need?
Sancho is more what we need
He’s pretty much the same as Sancho. Same kind of player, even down to him being better on the left but playing on the right mostly now.
He's top. Will rip the Bundesliga.
Not difficult in this seasons evidence
Does that mean Sancho isn't good ?
We should try and tempt this lad.
When Kane is aged 30+, England could then have CHO, Rashford, Sancho as a front three all in their prime/mid-twenties. Exciting.
Getting to the point where it’s ridiculous he’s not starting every game. He’s so much more direct and impactful than Pedro or Willian, and with Hazard nailed on the other side, that’s what we need.
Pedro is great off the ball and is a good finisher but lacks the dribbling to take a man on and open a packed defence, where as Willian is more of a very very very very cheap man’s Hazard and slows our play down wanting it to feet but doing largely nothing with the ball when he has it.
CHO and Ruby should be 2 of the first names on our team sheet in my opinion.
RLC is quality, strong, good runner with the ball. But his back is fecked, so he is a long way off regular starts IMO.
CHO i rate but again, in the time he has played against the better sides, he has looked a little lost. He is performing but as of now, its against meh sides. Sadly, i still think he is nailed on to go to bayern this summer
I'd give Chelsea £50m. I really rate him. If we can't sign Sancho, we should do all we can.
He does seem like a potential United player. As a fan you feel excitement every time he has got the ball at his feet. We need a right winger and it would be nice for us to have him or Sancho there as they are English as well. I'm sure City will be splashing money next summer to replace Mahrez so Chelsea could have a big bidding war at their hands.
Small problem we won't sell to you. If you're that intent on seeing him in a United shirt your best hope is if he does a KDB and goes via a lesser German club.
Should he go to Bayern you would have even less chance of getting hinm, he won't be back in this country until he's past his sell by date unless he does a Toni Kroos.
Yeah agreed, his abysmal cameo against Wolves was a huge reality check for the he should be starting brigade.
All told he's had a good number of matches for his age and more than most, no doubt I someone will quote me the few freaks that have but still.
I think he probably should stay as it might be a vacant spot for him as the star winger when Hazard leave in the summer. We bought Matic and Mata so while it might seem unlikely I wouldn't rule out any future transfers such as this between the two clubs.
Those two were unique circumstances, one wasnt a starter anymore and the other was getting slowly replaced as Conte said himself. We may do business for players like say Alonso or Luiz but absolutely no chance we will sell the next English superstar to a competitive rival and if he was planning on doing a Lewandowski on us the media would be picking up on it even this early.
I don't understand the Chong / Greenwood hype here. They're fairly good young players and showed some promise in the U23s but I don't think they're PL quality at this point while Odoi looks clearly like Chelsea's best option on the right. IMO, It's not even a comparison, if we buy Odoi, it's not to compete with Chong and Greenwood.
I'm also kind of wary of BVB attackers - Auba, Dembele were good at BVB and good after they left as well but Mkhi, Gundogan, Gotze, Kagawa looked worldclass at BVB but failed to some extent after leaving. Who knows which bucket Sancho will fall into if he does move here.
Bit harsh to judge him on his showing against Wolves. Chelsea were garbage to a man and Wolves sat in and defended well. He's been fantastic in the EL, doing far better numbers than Pedro, for example.
I agree with Chong, but Greenwood is a top tier talent. Odoi is just further along in his development by virtue of being 1 year older.
As for Sancho, he was always a top talent as was Dembele. Mkhi, Gundogan, and Kagawa were a bit older. Kagawa was a wonderkid for Japan, but he wasn't an individual with talent that could dominate defenders at the European level. He was in Japan, but his playstyle wasn't as dominant with Dortmund. Really effective and technical player like any good #10, but more so on the side of someone who linked up play really well which worked wonders in that high speed Dortmund side. Back in Japan he looked Messi like, though that was also in the J League 2. Not really comparable. Gotze is a good example though.
I guess with Sancho, the best I can say is that he was marked as a top talent in a ridiculously talented group of English kids (2000 born group). He's dominated at youth international level, youth domestical level, and now the Bundesliga. Great technical ability who can run at defenders and make them look silly like Dembele. For example, compare Memphis when we bought him. He was doing great for his age with great end product, but was his technical ability top class like Sancho or Dembele? No. How about Zaha? He was incredibly influential in the Championship, but relied more on his pace than Sancho. When he came to United, it was clear that Januzaj had the better technical ability, just not the same physique, or tricky feet. Sancho is different. The ball sticks to his feet and it's objectively great technique that plays anywhere.
Have to remember he's only 18. So even if you think there is a step up to the PL, the kid is still developing and is better than almost every other 18 year old (right now) who will eventually play in the PL, but are currently either on loan or still at the u23 level.
Heard he's gone to RB Widnes
Has this kid won the ballon d'or yet?
He's about to be knighted
Might be a unique circumstance this as well. You have just signed Pulisic, and Hudson-Odoi was not happy with lack of chances earlier, so if that continues to the end of the season, who knows mate.
I'm not judging him per se and I am certainly not saying he shouldn't get similar chances because of it but fans see him as a first team player who should be starting league games so he needs to be assessed by those standards even if he is just 18.
He has done well in the Europa and in the cups but against top level opposition as alluded to above he's looked a little overwhelmed and I would still rather Willian and Pedro even with all their flaws starting those ones at the minute.
RLC will probably always be susceptible to injuries, he grew too quickly for his body type as a youth and is suffering for it now. He’s still more effective in 5minutes than Barkley and Kovacic are combined across 90, sadly.
Regarding CHO - Can’t expect an 18 year old to be great every single game, let alone when he’s barely had a chance to adjust to Premier League football with a run of games. I’m a ST holder in MHU and I’d say 90% of us have given up totally on Willian, it’s a waste of time giving him minutes as he’s holding out for a crazy bump in wages to re-sign, offers little over 90 minutes, slows our play down AND is getting on in age.
As for United fans thinking they could tempt us with an offer for CHO, yeah nice joke. We sell to rivals when we want to move on players we don’t want, not people we are desperate to keep. CHO will indeed be off to Bayern, which is a shame as circumstances have meant he should have gotten the minutes he was after to extend.
All told should he run his contract down and go for a free he will likely do it on the back of 50-60 appearances over 18 months which is a pretty good amount at that age.
If that's the case then it was likely something other than game time that was his main reason for leaving.
