It's going to take place on Thursday 24th August in China at 4:15am BST.

Absolutely ridiculous if you ask me considering it is a tournament that occurs in the UK and it will be 11:15am in Beijing so they should push it back about 6 hours.

Yeah but if the FA or the EFL can make an extra tenner from having it drawn in China then it's all good for them. Think of the amount of Chinese people that will be extremely excited to watch the draw too, those 6 people will add huge exposure in China for English football.

The draws for this have been farcical this year, so amateurish, damaging the competitions reputation.

    Rofl!!!!

That for real? It's a disastrous decision by the FA. Anyone who understands the HUGE gambling syndicates of China will know that the draws will 100% be engineered to whoever they want to play each other. Unless the draw is still controlled by us. Do the FA still control the actual outcome of the draw?

Because if they don't, it's a -guarantee- that some of the more popular sides in the betting stakes will be drawn against each other (I.E. City, United, Chelsea, Liverpool) and some 2nd tier side will prove strangely popular in the betting and get the easiest teams in the draw at every round.

True, they want to keep it going farcically by the seems of it.

Just call it the Haribo Cup, it sounds somewhat decent then.

Yep, being reported by all the media and on the efl cup site. https://www.efl.com/news/2017/augus...ion/?utm_source=google.pl&utm_medium=referral

I would be very shocked if the draw didn't end up suspiciously stacked in one way or another.

The League Cup. I'll always call it that no matter who sponsors it.

In fairness the FA Cup has been drawn on the One show a few times recently as well.

I'd say treating the FA Cup with such disrespect is a worse crime.

Why on earth is the draw happening in China though, what a stupid idea that is.

I think that's the only time anyone under 75 watches that show.

Carabao is a Thai company so it's probably to do with that.
