City are leading and making few mistakes, who has the squad to catch them?

Exactly how most of the rest of us feel about the bullshit threads doing the rounds.

Everyone is acting like City have won the league already so it's a valid thread.

Let's discuss the PL champions 17/18.

Adding more bullshit threads isnt the solution mate.

Repeating something stupid you've heard in a funny voice doesn't make it any less stupid.

I know it’s a piss take but we haven’t really. Majority of it all is way over the top, but I will say that the signs are promising.

It’s just like when a team scores two quick goals within first 10-15 minutes of the game and you think ahh well it’s going to be a spanking, but then some teams find a way to come back in it.

I know.. 27 games, there zero chance they can be caught. Give them the trophy now.

Something I've noticed, there is a wankfest over city, at the same time there is a meltdown over our performances.

If the manager is so outdated, and the squad so bad, then surely we are doing well. Conversely, if the squad is good but not being utilized properly then why have we not put on a title challenge with these players for 3-4 years?

I'm not convinced. Theres too much football left to play to write Chelsea or Spurs or Us off yet. They're one or two injuries off struggling, and they'll get injuries. Liverpool shot out of the traps last season and fell away because they couldn't keep the pace up.

The past years there has been a clear early leader that ended up winning the league easily, so yeah, they’ll probably win it despite how many talk about the competitiveness of the league

If City are going to get injuries could the same criticism not be levelled at every other club? I actually think there’s a long way to go yet, and we should only really assess it at the half way point when everybody has played everybody once.

    City’s fixtures to then; Leicester A, Hudds A, Saints H, West Ham H, United A, Swansea A, Spurs H.

How many points do you think they'll take from those games?

Same could definitely be said of every team. I can't think of a team that's gone unscathed in a full season.

Hard to say because form is everything, on current form you’d put them favourites in every match apart from United A. Let’s take a really prudent view and see what that does.

    Leicester A - 1 Hudds A - 3, Saints H - 3, West Ham H - 3, United A - 0, Swansea A - 3, Spurs H - 1. Total: 14/21.

Even with that somebody would have to win every single game to be just behind City. 4 wins in 7 isn’t beyond the realms of possibility at all.

I think it's reasonably fair to say second place could be 4 points behind after that run of games. That's close enough going into the Christmas fixtures. Tons of football still to play after 1st Jan.

Only 3 of our fixtures up to 1st Feb 2018 are against genuine top 6 opposition.

We've just played 3 of our most difficult games of the season and we're still second. In shite form.

Injuries are the only hope for the chasing pack. If not, you're looking at a 95-97 points team. Nobody's catching that

I think it's also reasonable to say City could be 11 points clear after that run of games if they beat United and Spurs

No one, ever. City will win the league for at least the coming 7 seasons. don't see anyone challenging them in the CL either. Real can't even beat Spurs, Bayern lost away to PSG and I heard Barcelona failed to keep a clean sheet domesticly. Pep won football, may as well quit now.

Really though, City are clear favorites for the PL at the moment, they have the best squad, are playing the best football and seem to be unstoppable. Untill they lose against Stoke on a rainy they and their confidence goes to shit, they sack Pep, KDB fecks of to Madrid, their sheik leaves them and they file bankruptcy.
