    Decent ones which get forgotten.

I'll start the ball rolling with a few from Southampton.

Eyal Berkovic. Which United fan could forget him. Instrumental in the famous 6-3 where United wore grey and couldn't see anything. Got kicked in the face by John Hartson and went on to play for both Celtic and Man City. Great little player.

Egil Ostenstadt. Scored a hatrick against United and struck up a interesting little partnership with Berkovic and Le Tissier. Moved to Blackburn and continued to hit goals. Once valued at 7.5 million, bagged 30 goals in 96 games.

Finally Marians Pahars. The Latvian Michael Owen. 43 goals in 137 games. Small, nimble and skillful. Sadly hit by injuries later on in his career which slowed him down.

Philip Albert, decent ball playing centre back for the mags

Peter Beardsley, should have won so much more, absolutely fantastic footballer and for me never gets the credit he deserves he would be an absolutely devastating player now

Might not be "classic", but I always thought Tuncay was a good player, at least during his time at Middlesbrough

Classic players cannot be this century

Edit: Wanchope played until 2007, Ndlovu 2011, dicks 2002

What I will say, I had the feeling the OP was more looking for players not quite as well known, but still classic. Rather than the likes of Cahill, Viduka and Tuncay who were very very famous

IIRC Robert and Solano played at the same time isn't it, they had decent team.

Joe-Max Moore was decent for his first five Everton games, getting a goal in each

On a serious note Gary Kelly was a fine defender for Leeds.

Seems a bit short to me. You'd only be looking at around the first 7 1/2 seasons of something that's in it's 26th and excluding those who played the bulk of their career before the 1st January 2000 for playing once after then. Such players could actually have played more in the old Division One than they ever did in the Premier League if they had a 15 year career or longer and only ever played in the English top flight.

Even then Dicks and Ndlovu never played in the Premier League this century as far as I know.
