Well yeah i suppose, but being told you are no longer wanted is effectively like being sacked.

Did a decent job at West Ham and got them out of trouble but they still think he’s not good enough for them (they’re probably right).

God, the thought of what this club brought on itself still gets worse as time goes by.

Moyes's media mates. Loyal to a fault. He'll land on his feet somewhere as in football, nothing succeeds like failure.

Northcroft is so far up Moyes hole he must have to wait until Moyes opens his mouth to breath in.

It’s all set up now. Big Sam and Moyes available at the same time, Everton and West Ham looking for a manager...
    Seems too obvious?

Allardyce, Moyes, Hasenhüttl (Leipzig)... Sarri is meeting the Napoli president today so it could be four managers leaving on the same day.

I expect both Everton and West Ham will finish in worse positions next season. Can’t really understand either decision.

On the other hand, he didn't actually do THAT badly at WHU to be honest.

I predicted that he will leave West Ham at the end of the season but after relegating them. Well partly correct prediction.

Did a good job at West Ham, hopefully these feckers get relegated next year.

For a family man (cringe), he must really regret leaving Everton. Had a stable job for 11 years, settled in one place. Then the last few years he's been either unemployed or being laid off across England and even in Spain.

To be fair, he took United further in the CL than Jose and LVG have managed.

To be fair, transformed Arnautovic from a streaky inconsistent winger (and awful for West Ham in this position under Bilic who seemed to have no idea how to use him) into a very dangerous centre forward. Thought he was going to be one of the flops of the season after the first few months, ended up being a key player in my fantasy team

It's a sign of how much bigger United are than Everton than anything else.

Michael Keane will always be 'ex-Manchester United player Michael Keane' just as loads of other players will be whether they played a few times, once, or were just in the youth team for us.

    Bardsley, Shawcross, Diouf, King etc.

He also didn't actually qualify for it in the first place and took the run away champions to 7th.

    Only on paper.

Then you remember who we had and how it was really down to RvP.

The 2013/2014 campaign under Moyes is still our best performance in the Champions League since we reached the final in 2011. Although the fact Moyes has never once qualified for the tournament suggests that campaign was more a last gasp of professional pride from Fergie’s ageing team.

Don’t forget Giggs as well - that home game against Olympiacos was a masterclass from him, probably his last one as a player. Without him and RVP, that night would’ve seen a much more embarrassing exit than Sevilla was this season.

Back on topic: I’m always willing to slag Moyes at the slightest opportunity, but he can be satisfied with his performance at West Ham I think - he got a mid-table squad he took-over in the relegation zone up to 13th, which is perfectly acceptable. West Ham obviously want to take the club forward so have rightly decided Moyes isn’t the man to lead that charge, but he’s now better placed to get the next job than he was after three failures on the spin.

It will happen. Paulo Fonseca refused the offer from West Ham and negotiations broke down, so Benitez will be next.

He did get a huge payout from MUFC. I am not sure if he got payouts from the other clubs he got fired from, though.
But I do agree with you - in hindsight, he must think to himself, "Why did I leave Everton - it was a cushy number and I knew the club/job/players; no stress; no pressure; making top 8 regularly".

Think the payout was severely cut due to dropping out of top4, like with LvG.

The board have let James Collins go - not a surprise but a bit of a shitty way to do it via email after 11 years of service.

    No class.

Finished once in top 4 in 11 years but yeah they were missing a striker to compete for the league.:lol:

This guy is delusion in its finest.

Oh David. A striker away from competing for top four on a serious basis regularly, maybe.

The question for me is whether he was always crap and managed to hide that in his comfort zone at Everton or did United break him.

Has been pathetic on and off the pitch since leaving.

That is some serious lack of objectivity on show there. Everton were fecking dreadful to watch more often than not under him, never mind being a top striker away from the league.
