True. I hope Harry Kane, Eriksen, Salah, Firminho, KdB and Silva would feck off from their clubs to other league.

I don't remember any opposition fans comfort us when Ronaldo forced his move to Madrid. Not even one drop of crocodile tear. This bigger picture for the league is utterly bs.

Hazard wants to go. It's obvious.

I don't think any opposition fan "enjoys" having rival teams being superior. Its just appreciating that the strength of a rival team might inspire a board, whether by hook or crook, to put forth greater investment in the team to compete at a greater level. What I find weird is the notion of fingers crossed fans who wish for a rival player to leave. De Gea is the best goalie in the world and god knows it is annoying facing him yet I would never actively wish he left Man Utd, its just such a petty view. The top clubs are all going to have fairly quality teams anyways.

I'm shocked at this. Feck the quality of the league come May, I honestly could not care about how good others are.
Watching Morata fall about while being told he was as good as Rom due to goals to game ratio was hilarious.
There's no way I'd swap that for Costa staying in England.

More quotes from him yesterday re-emphasising that he's likely to leave Chelsea

    Summer 2019
    Neymar/M'Bappe to Real Madrid
    Hazard to PSG

    that's my bet

It frustrates me that Barca, Madrid and the Spanish media let Chelsea off so lightly

Imagine if Hazard was at United. Flipping hell.. we'd never hear the end of it.

I'm not so sure. I'm not convinced the big Spanish sides are that convinced by Hazard (nor should they be), that's why I think he'll more back to France instead of going to Spain

"Everybody knows what I have said after the World Cup," the 27-year-old said.

"But I'm happy here. I don't want to talk about it yet. A lot has been said, but at the moment I'm happy. I have two years left on my contract and we'll see what happens. Leaving this year? I won't go.

"The transfer market in England is closed. Clubs can still sell players, but not sign new ones anymore. It would be a bit strange that they would sell me now while they can't sign a replacement.

"Today we have seen that the fans quite like me. I'm good where I am now. Let's see what happens in one or two years."

Cheers. Sounds like running down the contract so Chelsea will have to put a reasonable price on his head next summer.

It’d be a major coup for Chelsea if they get him to sign an extension but it doesn’t seem likely right now

That's what you do when you don't want to sell someone.

He'll cost you less than half that next year.

They're a massively average side without him so that's probably what he is worth to them

My meaning was about people complaining that madrid/barcelona didn't make life difficult for chelsea with him.

He could've done a Courtois (not turned up to training) and we'd have accepted far less than 250 million.

I don't think Madrid or Barca were that interested in all honesty.

Barca wont buy him. I expect Real to go for him next summer if he hasnt agreed to sign an extension.

Hazard? No chance. He's been pretty honest and respectful.

Probably you are right, but if he was so clear about his intentions, why didn´t he ask for a transfer request?. I read (not reliable sources) that Madrid wanted him to demand/write the transfer request to speed the transfer but he wasn´t convinced

I don't think it's a norm for players to do that. Curtois was just being an asshole to force the move but most players want to leave on amicable on terms and are willing to wait a year to do so.

He is the sort of guy that if you put him in a room with a mirror, he'd get in a fight with his own reflection for stealing his limelight.

I don't give two shits how happy he is, so long as he continues to play well.

I was trying to say that based on what he said in your post, he seems happy. But people choose to read it as if he isn't happy.

But I wouldn't really care either if I was a Chelsea fan. You have got some very good years from him anyway and it's understandable if he wants to go to a club like Madrid.

Chelsea want to be careful they don’t make the same mistake they made with Courtois. He’ll be gone next summer with 1 year left on his deal. Madrid will give Bale/Asensio a chance to fill Ronaldo boots and if that fails expect them to go in heavy for Hazard.

Is a season of Hazard worth an extra £50m? I'd say keeping is worth that cost given that any replacement would be far inferior. Heck I'd even let him run down the contract and just let him go for free, he'd be nearing 30 by then.

He'll be 28 next year, so he either moves next year or I expect him to stay at Chelsea. Can't see Madrid moving to him if he hits his 30, paying giga loads of money for 3-4 years of him, maybe even less. Hazard is heavily dependent on his dribbling, skills and pace so he's not going to stay at top level anything longer than 34 imo.

Why would Eden want to go to Real Madrid next summer? I'm sure he'll enjoy time here with Sarri. Next summer he is 28 and a half years old, I just don't see Real going for him. And by end of the season we'll be much better team then Real so...

Any chance we can go for him next season if we get Zidane as manager since Zidane is a big fan of his and he also respects Zidane . I know wishful thinking but if he is not interested in staying at Chelsea and if Real have other priorities then maybe we can take try for him .

This is awkward as this is the year where both Real Madrid and Chelsea need him the most.
