Xi Jinping has basically declared himself president for life, how do you think this will impact the world in the coming decade(s)?

Half the wall is in ruins, Trump wouldn't approve.

It would be disastrous for countries like Pakistan, Srilanka and the other African, Central Asian countries who opened their borders and ports for the silk road initiative. The historical precedent is that China builds stuff and if the trade doesn't take off, the host countries get stuck with expensive loans on hastily built infrastructure they have no use for with China acting as a predatorily payday lender.

I wouldn't put it past them to default on those loans.

To be fair Im involved in big infra for developing countries - we use a number of European governments to finance back these projects - and to be honest they are every bit as predatory as the Chinese... perhaps more so as European governments tend to involve 3rd party's such as international banks to add private financing as well which generally want money back far quicker than governments.

Atilla the Hun on the bench is a joke and it's clear that the Pharaohs were before your time because there are a fair few snubs there. Pretty solid though, apart from that.

Two delegates voted against it out of 2,964. Pretty brave from those two.
