Pogba, Rashford, De Gea, Lukaku and Tony V on there. Probably fair since they did it by positions. Seems to be based on popular opinion more than anything tbf

Should be called the Cliche Top 100. I'm guessing the likes of Craig Burley and Shaka Hislop made the list.

Mkhitaryan too. I know he's been missing last few weeks but he's still our player.

Yeah that's not a good list. Seems to be based on popular opinion rather than by what actually happens on the pitch. Donnarumma the 9th best keeper in the world, Ter Stegen just 8th, Fabinho the 6th best right back, Zidane the best manager, Griezmann and Dybala as strikers, Higuain and Icardi nowhere to be seen while Cavani is just 10th, Eriksen as the 7th best attacking midfielder behind Alli () and Iniesta, etc.

Rashford = 10th best forward in the world. Maybe he should start for his actual club every now and then.

He does have more minutes than the 5th best wide forward and 6th best forward because they're always bloody injured

Kante ahead of Pogba is quite shocking. Otherwise it’s a decent list. The positioning in attack makes no sense though.

The soccer fans would appreciate it. The list is insightful if Messi is not a striker.

Yeah, surely from their 'logic' Robben would be classed as a wide forward, Griezmann and Dybala as forwards while Mertens hasn't been a wide forward for a while.

Some of those players are currently out of form(Marcelo) and don't deserve their rankings or simply have been injured for too long(Neuer) to be eligible.

Clicked goalkeepers and didn't see De Gea at the top, didn't bother any further than that.

Pretty fair with a couple blips. DeGea is#1. Rashford has no business being on the list. Pogba should be #1/2 CM. Everyone saw the impact he had on the team with his injury. Why is Mkhi on the list when he can't even make the squad atm?

I dont agree with a lot of positions in the ranking, but the 10 players in each category are not that bad. Verratti and Icardi are missing though. Reus inclusion is a bit shocking, barely has played the last 2 years

    I would give Serie A a bit more love;

    Right Back:
Moses and Bellerin out, Kimmich and Hysaj in

    Midfield: Rakitic out, Pjanic in

    Forwards: Rashford out, Insigne in

    Strikers: Benzema out, Mertens in

The valuations are interesting at times. Suarez at 30 is valued at £153 million, more than Neymar and Pogba. Harry Kane as a comparison valued at £74 million.

Is Suarez really worth twice what Kane is?

Nothing wrong with that, if you think Lukaku suffers fro shocking misses you don't want to see Cavani.

I don’t get this post. Kanté has two back to back titles and is an instrumental player in our midfield, just look at our results when he was injured compared to his return.

But I didn’t bother to read the list. I don’t know why people make such a fuss about it, just ignore it.

Not a terrible list, compared to the usual dross. De Gea has been comfortably ahead of Neuer for two seasons now. Veratti missing from CM and Hamsik is too high on the list. Martial should be in instead of Willian on the wingers list, but that one's tricky as there are plenty of other strong shouts missing - very competitive spot at the moment. I was surprised to see Valencia as high as fourth on the RB list, but actually looking at who's behind him he merits that position. Reus' inclusion is out of date.

Im assuming the list is based on ability not form. I.e. if everyone was fit this is how the author thinks everyone will rank as.

Because there is no other explanation for Bale and Reus.

Same. Honestly people are so lazy with the Neuer over De Gea thing. I think maybe Neuer has a great PR team and maybe that's a position where people just stick to their guns for a decade but that's not even opinion based it's simply wrong.

Is it all time or 2017?

Why is Asensio the 6th best attacking midfield? Iniesta on 4th? They know it's 2017?

I have the opposite impression - that the frequent dismissals of Neuer are rarely based on attempting an objective assessment. But so be it.

Some of these are just mental.

Icardi should be there. Cavani is better than most of the names above him. Victor Moses

Umtiti might be an even bigger snub than Icardi tbh. Anyone that has Varane over him needs to take up a different sport!

Yep, this needs to stop now. Kante is a great player and an important team player. I don't think he can contribute what Pogba can and we need to calm down.
