I mean, sure, the article is probably bullshit and is utterly undermined by the fact they call them Eveton in the sub-header, but still, imagine if Simeone did take a job he's far, far, far too good for. Scenes etc.

I fancy riding to work in a Ferrari tomorrow morning too but I will likely end up taking the train followed by a bus.

Everton should look to a manager that can first undo the mess Koeman created with indiscriminately poor spending.

Even LvG and Moyes gave us serviceable players like Fellaini, Mata, Blind, Rojo etc. I don't see a single player Koeman bought outside of Keane who you could say that about.

Probably conjured up by a fan posing as a journo. It's the Mirror afterall. The folk on Grand Old Team also thought they were a more attractive destination for Jose Mourinho than United before we got him, too.

    He'd fit WBA far more.

Why would Simeone want to manage a championship team next year.

    - The fact that the best coaches are in the EPL is already impacting the ideology of the academies and you can see the result in the English youth teams.

Simeone's next job will most likely be Inter as that is the club he has always wanted to manage after Atleti. Certainly won't be Everton .

God, talk about delusion. Simeone will have much bigger fish to fry than Everton and managing players like Rooney, Schneiderlin and co.

    Big Sam it is.

Wouldn’t have been the worst project for him a few years ago but not with the horrific squad they have now.

I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss it.

They'd offer him way more money than he's on at Atletico and his stock isn't going up whilst there at the minute.

He's doing what Klopp did at Dortmund, stayed too long after initial success and now settled into an also ran.

Glad you clarified, I was picturing Allardyce rocking up at Athletico to replace Simeone.

Apparently Steve Round has backed Allardyce to Everton. Does he fancy his old job back, and one more crack at the record for most footballs carried at once across Finch Farm's all-weather?

Yeah, that's what I've always read. Though, stranger things have happened. One things for sure though, it would be a very silly career move from Simeone. That Everton squad is miles away from the quality of his Atletico team. Even though they are struggling this season.

Plus he doesn't speak English and from my understanding hasn't been learning either. A man like Simeone will prepare for the English league and not just go on a whim if he wants to go. His next step is Italy for sure.
