Aguero blanks again. Him and Kane have been the worst players in my team despite costing the most. Problem is, the replacements don't look much better...

Not before the derby, Colin, not before the derby.

I'll be playing Sterling, Sané and Jesus/Aguero for the derby and I'd advise any respecting United fan to do similar.

If those feckers are doing anything in that game - I want points from it, and if they wanna blank me, that's fine by me.

Yep. Probably my worst ever week in fantasy.

After accounting for point hits I’ll end up on 24 points. Was expecting 60-ish with those fixtures.

Hazard is single handedly dragging me up my leagues. I can't believe he isn't in more squads yet

Same for me. Guess with the price is hard to bring him in

Tempted to bring Hazard in for Kane, but not sure who I'd go with as a striker then. Jesus maybe...would mean only .3 that I need to find. The rotation is annoying but Kane keeps blanking anyway.

It's the cost. I'm trying to find a way but probably chasing points now.

Do you think it's worth looking to drop Salah for Hazard? it sounds crazy but I need a differential to move up my ML. Big risk.

Otherwise to fit Hazard in, I need to downgrade Walker in Defence and swap Silva/Sterling.

Shocking week. Still second in my league though so I guess a shocking week for most. I'll put it down to a freak occurrence.

Yeah Hazard is looking like he might be essential for this run of games (notwithstanding the games he's rested for). Absolutely no way I'd consider losing Salah for him though.

Dropped Kane and Pogba to get in Laca and Hazard.Kane is performing shit so no point retaining him plus, his value will drop so, if he does start scoring can get him in later. Once Pogba's suspension ends, I'll get him in for Sane

I should have gotten Hazard in last week but I’ve missed the boat on that.

Made my transfer last night - Sane out for Coutinho.

Seriously want to get Kane out for Hazard, but Kane's fixtures are good and you know he'll get back into form soon.

Unfortunately there's no way I can get Hazard in unless I get rid of one of Salah, Morata, Kane, and I don't fancy losing any of them yet.

I see the first DGW of the season has been announced with the re-arranged Spurs vs West Ham game happening on Jan 4th (GW22)

    Jan 02: Swansea vs Spurs
Jan 02: West Ham vs West Brom
Jan 04: Spurs vs West Ham

    Kane triple captain anyone? :smirk:

I mean on paper that is literally as good as it gets for a triple captain. The most expensive player in the game against arguably the two worst teams in the league.

It goes to show how disappointing Kane has been this season (for his price) that its not a clear decision on whether its worth using the triple captain on him.

Wow, saw the pop up on my phone and totally disregarded it could be a DGW. That is tempting.

People have to remember Kane's GW was ruined by a sending off. Tottenham's form is obviously a concern but it would be a mistake to sell now imo.

There's only one day between the Swansea and West Ham match and it will tie up the Christmas season. I don't think the players will be more fatigued than during that period which can be good for someone like Kane to take advantage off or overall bad because it might make for a poor game with little urgency.

    I have this currently:

    Forster
    Ward, Naughton, Monreal, Moreno
    Salah, Ramsey, Sane, Richarlison
    Kane, Morata

    Elliot, Gross, Niasse, Mbemba. 2.8M

I already did an FT to swap Pogba for Ramsey. I am thinking of getting in Hazard for Sane as well, but want to see how midweek goes. Although it would leave 0.7 in the bank, I still can downgrade Kane if he still doesn't perform, to one of Lukaku/Aguero/Jesus/Lacazette and use the remaining funds in the defence. Thoughts?

Dropping Salah seems crazy, but I have a feeling attacking returns are going to be more evenly spread across the liverpool attackers from now on. Similar to the city attackers. Thats just my gut feeling after watching them this weekend but you would still need a big brass pair to drop Salah now!

Getting Haz in. Should have gotten him last week but better late than never. Dont think i'll be changing much apart from rotation for cheapos.

Spurs have got Wimbledon in the FA Cup on the 6th as well so you'd think Kane (and others) are more likely to be rested for that.

Tired of Kane no-showing. Way better value in Firmino+other player at the moment.

This. And you know he'll explode with points soon enough.

Still if he drops I might change him until he's about to rise again.

Hazard is still a massive differential, only 12% of people own him. Ozil, Sanchez, Lacazette are good options too to mix it up. Siggurdson, Martial only 2-4% owned could make a difference.

He is, but value is value. If you can save 4 on Firmino and upgrade a Zaha to a Hazard or a Loftus to a Coutinho that looks better to me.

Kane will eventually 'Explode' but Spurs are dreadful at the moment. Might as well surf on the ride waves, with Liverpool scoring like Barca at the moment

Ramsey seems to play every game, with Arsenal's home form being good as well. Lacazette only seems to get one a game.

Martial could be a shout if we keep playing the current formation.

Liverpool aren't really scoring like Barca though, at least Firmino isn't, he scored highly against Brighton, but before that Firminos last 10 scores were...

    2
    0
    5
    2
    8
    2
    2
    1
    2
    2

Whereas Kane's last 10 scores before his blank at Watford were...

    6
    8
    1
    2
    0
    16
    2
    13
    13
    2

You can see that Kane really does explode, and while Firmino could well do the same, his next 2 fixtures (Eve, West Brom a) both under new managers, versus Kane's next 2 (Stoke h, Brighton h) are definitely games he could pull one of his 'double explosions' in.

I'd say Salah or Coutinho are Liverpool's best options.

Not arguing with that - I completely agree that he has had a better season though not impressive. Can't prove stats wrong.

My proposition is where there was value and that it would be a good idea to ride the right waves - if you've actually seen Firmino's last two matches, you'd see he is surrounded by team-mates who are performing, and that he himself has been very involved in the last 3 touches. You could also do the stats in a smaller window and take Loftus Cheek + Kane vs Firmino + Sterling, and have different results - its just a matter of showing the stat-window that suits the agenda really - Firmino 'exploded' too last match.

Half of FPL is finding value and picking the right players at the right times. I guess we'll just have to see who is the best bets over the next weeks. Could go both ways. Firmino is also at greater rotation risk.

Yeah agreed. I'm really in 2 minds whether or not to shift Kane out now or not.

I have Hazard, Rooney, Jesus, Sterling and Salah so just not sure who it'd be worth replacing Kane with.

Be interesting to see what Kane is like this weekend. He's had a pretty packed fixture list for the last few weeks so if he is rested tonight it may do him wonders.

Ahhh I can do Hazard in for Silva who might not play, but it means doing Richarlison out for Shaqiri (which I'm fine with), and Azpilicueta out for Mee (not as fine with), and taking a -8. Halp

Maybe I should just do Silva for Shaqiri this gw then the rest next?

You should stay as is mate. Hazard, Shaqiri and Mee is not necessarily better than Silva, Azpilicueta and Richarlison. Hazard is a little bit better than Silva, but Azpi is tons better than Mee, whilst the two remaining are similar. Find another way to bring in Hazard over time, at leat not take a 8 point hit for it this week.

Yeah don't think I'm gonna take the hit. The only other way is getting rid of Kane or a major downgrade on Morata which I don't really wanna do either.

Just pulled the trigger on Silva to Coutinho

This means I now have triple 'Pool attack (Salah, Coutinho, Firmino)

Do I need to hand in my RedCafe credentials?
