Shit thread title apart, what's your favourite goals from players not known for goal scoring?

Here's mine, bonus best celebration ever too.

    Good technique.

Not exactly "great" but it was Tony Adams.....

I was thinking why the feck is that guy shooting, let alone from that distance. This was a CL match, the stadium was empty due to a UEFA punishment. It's so cool that you can hear the woosh of the ball through the air. It's my favourite FK ever. Perfect straight line to the top with immense power.

This one for me too, but it's really close with loads of good candidates.

The two legendary O'Shea goals, Evra v Bayern even though it meant nothing, Pallister v Blackburn, Lee Martin in the cup final, Carrick v Roma, Fletcher's header v Chelsea, Vidic v Sunderland in the last minute, the Rafael goals and a goal Paul Parker scored against Spurs after a nice 1-2 always stuck in my memory too from 92/93.

Great season in 92/93 obviously, and we battered Coventry 5-0 then Spurs 4-1 either side of New Year in consecutive league games. That Parker goal also came in the same game Cantona did that outrageous pass to set Irwin up which could be a candidate of it's own but I'm not sure if Irwin should quite count as he scored more than anyone else I've mentioned. Irwin v Wimbledon was brilliant too. Steve Bruce might be in the same boat for his 2 late goals against Sheffield Wednesday.

The goal in the OP immediatly came to my mind aswell. I remember I was so surprised, watching it live, and realizing it was O’Shea!

Macheda’s goal against Aston Villa also comes to mind, because of the madness of the moment and the huge surprise in seeing him delivering that kind of goal in his debut - wow, wow, wow. That day we truly were at The Theater of Dreams!

    Machedaaaaaaaa!

How could I mention about 10 goals and not list that one? My brain was focusing on players weren't so far up the pitch. Smile on my face remembering that one now.

I'll throw in another semi obscure one I liked - Gary Neville vs Middlesbrough in a 3-3 draw at Old Trafford. A really clean strike of the ball on a very wet day. For some reason I remember the way the rain splashed off the netting as it went in.

Rooney in the CL final 2011

Might seem like a strange choice, but I wasnt sure if Rooney had it in him to perform at the CL final level against the greatest team in the history of football

I'll never forget that moment when he scored...even though we got destroyed after, for a minute I thought we were going to avenge our 2009 loss

Such a shame that wazza's career didn't kick on from there

But at the end of the day, Rooney scored in a CL final

    Ibra didn't. RVP didn't. Falcao didn't. Torres didn't. Henry didn't. Aguero didn't.

There was a Brazilian (I think) commentator who went viral for singing at one point. He had a go for that Rio v Liverpool goal.

He also did a Rocky, Eye of the Tiger song for a Paul Scholes one that is on youtube. Won't post it 'cause he's hardly an unlikely scorer.

I love this, mainly because I have a soft spot for him since he encapsulated Liverpool so well when he done this:

My God what a goal that was. I was watching at home, tore my shirt off and ran through my apartment jumping up and down . By the time I sat back down Bayern had scored. Talk about a buzz kill.

Valencia's left footed goal this season is a good shout too . OShea classic .

I love it how it takes him a couple of seconds to realize what he had just done

Did the same when he scored the winner at Anfield.

(From SNes) 11 seconds into this vid.

    Great strike, Scholes-esque.
