Fergie would be a lot higher if he was still managing but people have fond memories when they are no longer around.

Pepe lower than Graham Westley and Steve Evans?! Madness.

Given the reception they received when taking over United, having none of the Glazers on this list shows they've somewhat changed the minds of United fans.

I think Mourinho has been this disliked for a long time; it's just that as Manchester United fans you notice it more now.

People mention bigots as being worse than him but what's often forgotten is that one of the reasons for disliking him is this homophobic slur: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...madrid-manager-uses-homophobic-slur-on-camera

It seems a pretty UK-centric list. I'm sure there are plenty of German, French, Spanish or Italian figures who are just as disliked as Neil Warncock.

I always remember him being disliked by most non-supporters of the clubs he managed except for United but he had spent most of his managerial career practically auditioning for the United job. Didn't really have a bad word to say about us and had a shared love in pissing off Liverpool and their fans.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but there's no referees on that list? Yet there's pundits etc on there, bit of an uneven field with regards who goes on the list.

I'd have thought the referee the Turkish referee Cunhir (sp?) who sent Nani of vs Real would have been on there, with others.

Cakir is hated by United fans but doubt non-United fans would be that bothered. Good point on the refs thing though.

Well, let’s be honest, the bloke is a thundering dickhead. How much more or less of a dickhead he is that a couple of racists, based on an arbitrary list, is probably splitting hairs.

Great shout, he should have been hounded to his death for the defiance he showed in that moment. Of course, I would have been on here tutting and saying its terrible a man should lose his life all because of 22 men kicking a bag of wind around but privately I would have been handing round the sparklers and cake.
On Joey Barton, I can't quite bring myself to dislike someone who brought it to my attention that people on Merseyside call Liverpool Cathedral the Paddy Wigwam.

That's true, I thought he'd had a few questionable decisions in the last few seasons also.

Not sure if the first part of your post was being said in jest? I wouldn't wish death upon anyone but quite a few on here dislike a few referees, the list is about disliked people in football so I'd have thought referees would have been part of this.

Mike Dean's number 28. Clattenburg should probably be on there, not sure if the other refs have a high enough profile to warrant hate outside of particular fanbases.

He did questionably send Gerrard off for England a few years ago but that was for England so doubt anyone cares apart from maybe one or two Liverpool fans not liking that his international career was 'tarnished' with a red card.

There was an article in the Telegraph I can't locate right now about the guy's history of sending off English or England-based players. His stone faced inner glee at sending off Nani that night was super obvious.

Must be - because obviously the only way that sentence could have been interpreted was that it was the sole all encompassing reason for jealousy.

Mourinho ahead of Platini, Keys, Suarez? Surely Ronaldo shouldn’t be near the top 30 at least too.

Weird list... Suarez should be top 5, he’s literally bitten several people and cheats like feck. Only Liverpool, Barca and Uruguay fans like him.

Fergie is widely hated by oppo fans. he seemed to get away with stuff and was quite mischievous. They feel he has his own rules but respect his talent.

When SAF was in management, he'd probably be top 5 easy. Maybe even 1.
Jose in No.2, gives me great satisfaction. The more we are hated, the better we become. And the better we become, the more we are hated.

José's rap sheet is extensive though. Andre Frisk, Tito eye gouge, Wenger the voyeur, the mans greatest hits are worthy of a book.

I am a Spanish speaker and calling a rival player “negro” or ”negrito” during a game is absolutely not the same as calling your wife ”mi negrita”. Don’t get into this discussion if you have no clue.

It's really pro Barca and contra Real.

Pique, Alba, Messi, Busquets and Neymar all could be in the list, but nobody of them is there.

Not really. Half the fans thought he was a cnut and didn't want him here. Many still don't. Most accepted him due to desperation imo.

Jose's probably up there because he's current and it's a bit of clickbait. No question that many people do hate him though. tbh I've struggled to warm to him.

I use to hate him back in his chelsea days. I remember the mourinho are you listening chants fondly. Love him now though.

"Hes a cnut, but hes our cnut" comes to mind.
