Do you prefer 2 wingers OR 1 winger + striker?
Sancho and jovic.
Two wingers definitely. Our strikers aren't great but with a lot more service would score way more goals and the team would be more balanced overall
Pepe and Felix
I think we could get both for a 110m.
Pepe would operate as the RW while Felix would play in the trequartista role behind Rashford. Also, Pepe can play as a Striker while Felix can play in the False 9 when needed
2 wingers and a 10 like Felix. We don't need another striker.
I would nut if United got Sancho + Felix or Sancho + Jovic. Any of the two.
prepare for life in celibate then, no nutting for you mister.
Don't worry, I'm well prepared already.
I would prefer 1 primary RW and the other attacking option being someone who’s capable of playing wing and CAM/#10, giving us more options and fluidity. Someone such as Ziyech who I posted about:
Re:OP Yes please. One right footed, one left footed. Gives balance, opens up the pitch. Changes a team's whole dynamic if the coaching is good. And dare I say it...is the United way! Sancho and Ziyech (who can also play CAM, so basically an upgrade on the should-be-departing Mata who could never play on the wing anyway) would be golden.
One winger, one versatile attacker.
Would you sign Dembele if he's available?
1 winger + a striker who can play winger.
It has been said that Ole wants a versatile attacker - a player who can occupy all positions across the front line.
In case we could sign him...
Do you prefer Sane over Sancho?
I'd go all out for Sancho tbh.
There is talk of interest in Sane tonight on twitter, however find it highly unlikely that City would ever consider selling to Utd they would much prefer to sell elsewhere in Europe.
Pepe & Felix.. If we go for Sane, it would mean that City get a free pass to get Felix which I wouldn't want to happen.
How about some width and delivery period.
Sane & Pepe IF Sane is available to us which is highly doubt
Lorenzo Insigne and Pepe will be massive for our side TBF. They are two leaders in their respective teams as well. I dont buy the idea of buying all these kids (Sancho, J.Felix...) and expect them to carry the burden of our team on their shoulders easily.
Nah, too injury prone, too immature and too inconsistent
Considering the 200m budget we have to work with I'd be surprised if we get Sancho. That unless we sell Pogba for huge money. I think we need to look at less known talent here. Bergwijn, Lozano, Pepe, Fraser (replacement for Sanchez), Brooks and Zaha type of players.
I would go for a clean sweep to be honest. I'd sell Martial, Lingard, Sanchez and let Mata go for free and then go for Bergwijn, Lozano, Zaha and Frazer.
City will sell sane and buy Sancho back
None of these players look that enticing. I would rather we go all out for one of Felix or Sancho, preferably Felix. Get in Van De Beek, Tonali, Ounas, Alderweireld and Ferro, Chiesa and we can say our bye bye to the transfer window.
I disagree. Fraser rivals the likes of eriksson and Pogba in terms of assists and he did that with a worse team and in a league which is far tougher then the German league. Bergwijn and Lozano are clear upgrades over lingard and Zaha is a EPL proven as well. We cant just blow 120m on a young winger. There's too many positions that needs strengthening
I'm more interested in quality. And I don't think we're going to fix our problems in 1 window. Hence why I would be fine with spending that much on Sancho.
Fraser plays for a counter attacking side that gives him space on the counter. He's not going to have that with us. His technique doesn't look impressive. Note, he's not a player who takes on opponent but rather depends on his speed. He's a pace merchant. He's not going to get that with us. Likewise Zaha who's going to find it difficult with us once again because we are going to meet opposition who's likely to park the bus and offer us little spaces hence we would require a player with a quality technique and fast thinking like Bernardo Silva to manoeuvre through them and Zaha isn't such player.
Lozano is one player I would try to avoid. Absolute awful player when his off the ball movement is hindered. His technique is simply not good enough. Besides, his off the ball movement goes hand in hand with creativity from the midfield to constantly pick out his movement. Bergwijn looks good but he's just there.
I don't think Felix will go above 80mil. Ounas could be taken on a loan with an option to buy, Chiesa could be got at 40/50mil. I would rather have quality players than sign average bargains. The likes of Darmain, Rojo should teach us lesson.
2-3 players won't sort the issue even in a thousand years as by the time you sort one position age/injuries/lack of patience will ruin other positions
This we need to act smart ie we bring top quality players before they move to big clubs.
200 + 200 from Pogba and Lukaku.
Wan Bisaka 40m
De Light 80m
Van De Beek 60m
Wan Bisaka Alderweireld De Light Shaw
Van de Beek Ndombele Fred
Lozano Rashford Felix/Sancho
Felix isn't that good on the wing but through the middle. Personally, I think his best performance was as a striker against Frankfurt in the europa match where he scored 3 goals and created plenty of chances.
N'dombele hasn't shown he can operate as a lone CDM. Fred is still a player we don't know where his level is at. I actually feel MCTominay has shown more as a box-box midfielder than him.
I'm actually thinking of something like this:
Cillessen (20 mil);
O'Connor - Alderweireld (25 mil) - Ferro (30/40 mil) - Shaw;
MCTominay - Van De Beek (40/50 mil) - Tonali (20 mil);
Ounas (loan) - Felix (80 mil) - Chiesa (40 mil)
Bench: Martial, Rashford, Fred, Greenwood, Dalot, Romero, Lindelof.
Tonali has helped Brescia get promoted to serie A, hence I don't know if he will still be cheap. I just love the fact that he can play either as a no 6 or 8, just like Van de beek. (He's also a playmaker).
Look mate we might disagree about the names but my point is still valid. There's a major rebuilding job coming up which can't be done with 2-3 players at a time. This team is shit and equally complacent. So we need to act smart on the transfer market and not spend all our budget on 1-2 players
My guess is that we will sign James plus another winger. So, in the end, we could end up getting 2 wingers... or do you think Daniel James would be our only new winger?
We'll try for Ryan Sessegnon for LW but he'll probably go to Spurs. Zaha is an option but I can't see the Glazers spending big on LW unless they get big money for Martial first, which ain't happening. Sessegnon would be a decent option to mould for the LW if we can pursuade him to come.
James isn't really a winger though, he's an AM, basically like a bulkier Mata.
I'd love for us to go for Sancho and Pepe. That'd be around £150m and our attack would be massively better. Or Sancho and Jovic for a similar price.
Add in a RB and a decent midfielder, for £250m we could really challenge for the league.
Watch us spend about a £100m on not very much though, the last 6 years have somehow made me even more pessimistic than I already was.
We shall wait and see.
From what I saw of this season, Ole was quite happy to have a mis-firing Young and Lingard in the first team. He even made Young the captain. With his blessing, we gave Jones an extension.
All this suggests to me that he is willing to give certain players (namely academy players and Fergie's players) chance after chance.
I get that you also want to give these players a chance, but if a club has top aspirations, there needs to be a degree of ruthlessness.
Here's a very recent example.
V.Kompany captained his side and helped win the domestic treble. MCFC announced that Kompany will be leaving (too old, not good enough, etc).
A.Young captained our side into relegation form, by the close of the season. We extended his contract.
This, right here, is why we are failing.
It doesn't help that Woodward is renewing contracts of poor quality players, to save money, which is why above everything, I want Woodward demoted.
Although, I get what you are saying in terms of Ole needs to be ruthless, he cannot do that without giving the players there a chance?
He knows Lingard from the academy and what he brings is energy, young was always vice captain, Ole didnt decide to make him Captain.
What message would he be sending if he says to Young - your not captain? who would he have given it to? Surely your not that naive to think it wouldn't disrupt the team?
Kompany was still captain at City.
There are quality wingers like Sancho, Sane, Dembele... But I'm afraid we are going to sign one of James or Sessegnon.
Both Sess and James doesn't sound bad to be honest. We would never look back to Lingard and Mata on the right wing, not to mention Rashford & Martial are getting two ambitious rivals on their position, too.
After a year or two Ole could go for Sancho, especially if Sanchez will be gone sooner or later.
We're fine on the left for next season at least. Enough "hope" to keep it as is for one season while focusing on the 5 obvious positions.
I guess you are talking about CB, RB, CDM, CM and RW... So, do you trust Rashford to be our main striker?
Separate names with a comma.
