Spooky tunes anyone ?
The one of the worse bands of all time
But with a rather disturbing origin story
Can't have spooky without a little Alice. Gail is especially creepy but the three songs below form a sort of trilogy.
Alice is the master of horror, so much so that he did a theme song for Friday the 13th.
But they're so bad they nearly become good again, venturing so far past inept that they come back around to sounding like Velvet Underground by way of Kimya Dawson or something.
A lot of bands have put a lot of thought, time and effort into trying to sound this bad:
This is so true. There's a sort of magic to them that would be impossible to recreate by anyone who could play a instrument. Their one of those bands(I put Frank sidebottom in here as well) that if you say to people you like them you come across as a bit of a nob who ''ironically'' like them but I really do like some of their songs.
Yep, there isn't that much difference between that and something like Trout Mask Replica which people also like unironically.
This is a great clip of Tav Falco Panther Burns explaining ''anti music''(Also a sort Halloween blues band)
Might be the best overall horror soundtrack. Little interesting not I was watching a interview with Jessica Harper(Susie in the movie)and she said Argento would blast the Goblin on massive speakers all day to get the actors in the mood. She also said she was the only person on the set who spoke any english and during filming she had no idea what the other actors where say during film(Argento would film everything and put dub it later on in the edit)
The whole album is brilliant for Halloween.
Does this work?
Carpenter live looks like a ton of fun.
This entire album, covers the checklist for Halloween.
Still the greatest horror soundtrack of all time in my opinion. Great prog rock as well. I'm lucky enough to have seen a showing of the movie with Goblin playing the soundtrack live at the venue. That was surreal.
I never thought the video to this would be found
