How long can Phil Jones be thrust upon us. He’s been good but not for a while and he’s injured yet again. Perhaps he should gracefully retire.

Such a shame with Phil Jones. He has some really good attributes as a defender, but his rashness makes him a liability way too often - especially to his own physical health. That just doesn't work when trying to build a consistently performing team.

Of course not. He fecked up in a cup final in May and he’s back in against one of our top four rivals.

    He’s got nudes on someone.

It's a shame his football has interrupted his time being injured.

We have been saying this for 8 fecking years.

2 more years and we'll give him a testimonial, in which he'll get injured to solidify his legacy.

There's a saying about doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

In conclusion, everyone at our club is insane

This is why Mourinho wanted a new CB. Can't trust the ones we have to stay fit let alone build a partnership.

He'll be back stinking up the place after yet another injury. The fraud has been stealing a living all his career.

Stealing a living. He has zero balance and probably misses a few brain cells.

One problem when playing Jones bar him being an accident waiting to happen on the pitch is he is almost always a waste of a sub too as he too often gets injured so we then have to bring on another defender which wrecks us when we are chasing a game

Hes fecking shit and that's before you take into account his appalling fitness record.

    It's incredible he's still here.

Exactly! Didn't we sign him on the back of a 7 - 1 beating of Blackburn?

He’s an embarrassment of a united player.

If he isn’t on his ass making last ditch tackles he’s on the treatment table.

At fault for both goals for me. Schooled by harry kane for the first and then watching back the second is like watching a sunday league player after a heavy saturday night.

    And then he gets injured....again.

But then lind comes on a jesus fecking christ was a million times worse than jones.

    What can we do?

His little injury will allow him to blend into the background again for long enough for us to forget how bad he is, and he'll be back in a few months to remind us.

It feels like we’re in a neverending loop of him getting injured a lot, a new regime comes in, decides to give him a chance, shows that the sporadic good performances isn’t enough to offset the errors and constant injuries and repeat. There’s like 5 years of evidence that shows he hasn’t progressed since Sir Alex retired.

It’s all good giving a chance or two to players but its just downright stupid to persist with more chances. It’ll just annoy the other defenders he’s competing with who’ll get overlooked, and the youth team defenders who think they could break into the first team who also get overlooked and both of those groups will be unhappy and want away and I wouldn’t blame them.

In 10/15 years time he will be making mistakes and getting injured for those Manchester United legends teams..

I dont think we will ever get rid of him.. who would want him anyway?

He has not got enough quality. Effort only, which most people on the Caf can give for free.

Looks like a deer in headlights most of the time. We need a CB who scares the opposition, not the supporters.

Next year we'll have a new manager and he'll be given a second chance. Mark my words. This guy is heading to his testimonial game. Unless of course he heads a moving bullet train or something of that kind.

No chance, injuries aside he's probably our best CB, which of course is rather alarming.
