This guy has been terrible this season. Every time I watch him he makes mistakes. High up on the hall of shame for errors leading to goals.

He was awful on the Salah’s second, dived at his feet like a madman and got chipped. I remember Joe Hart doing something similar a couple of seasons back. Is this lad declining too or just bad form?

I agree he has been really poor this season.. He is so slow of his line it is ridiculous . Remember when some Utd fans wanted him to replace DDG ..

Don't really understand his defending for the first goal either, he was on the right side of his goal and dived to that side with his hands again. Really weird decision.

He's 31 years old right now. That's supposed to be a goalkeeper's prime, so I think it's just bad form rather than a decline.

He's not been at his old standards for sure. Think we should be looking to bring in a young keeper to at least compete with him from next season on. Dunno who i would go for though.

It's definitely an area Spurs should be looking to improve, Lloris still makes superb reaction saves at times but it's not enough to mask so many poor errors and his distribution is woeful too. I know people say Mignolet and Karius are comfortably the worst keepers in the top 6 but Lloris and Cech are right there with them based on their form over the last year or so.

Guy is a liability. Remember when 'pundits' had him as better than DDG?

He is generally great and our best keeper in decades but he has had a really poor month.

He's all over the place this season, every aspect of his goalkeeping is poor. After his blunder for the pen his arse fell out and he was rooted to his line every time City got through even though he could have come for the ball at times.

He has been good apart from the last month when he has made many mistakes.

Him and Sanchez gifted City the game. Very poor season for him.

Not the player I have been watching this season. It reminds me of Joe Hart's decline. When I started the thread in Feb he was the joint second worst keeper in the league for mistakes that have led directly to goals. Those don't include the more subtle mistakes he makes like the one I cited in the OP.

Has absolutely zero confidence, was known as a real sweeper keeper but he seems so immobile/unreactive.

Also his kicking is really really poor. I'd be looking at replacements if I were spuds.

And some dare to compare this guy to David De GOAT.

You have to be a special kind of ABU just to entertain the thought.

Always has a mistake in him in the big games. This was even when he was in good form.

    Think the same actually.
I never feel like he reached or confirmed a top level since he came to Spurs. He had a huge potential when he was in Lyon and always benefited of french medias' kindness. I remembered when they lost the title against Leicester and some experts were saying that he needed to go to a better club, that's the Spurs team and especially defence were not good enough. Now there is the story that France couldn't make it to the final without him... However, unlike Vertonghen or Kane, I didn't find that he was a huge strength for Tottenham, Just a good goalkeeper with limits like Ospina or Bravo perhaps.

Kind of frustrating he didn't set himself ahead of the subtop group like Courtois, Oblak, Ter Stegen, Navas or DDG but he never performed to. Anyway, he won't improve anymore and most of all costs too much points so perhaps Leno, Farhmann (Schalke?) or Alisson should replace him, Arrizabalaga could also have been interesting... but Will Poch downgrade him ?

Any definition for this stat? Quite a subjective statistic for such a small sample size.

I think in peak form he is a great shot stopper, but way below DDG on the consistency front.

The comparison with Joe Hart does seem valid. He doesn't seem to do a lot apart from make routine stops.

I was a goalkeeper when I played, the position is the hardest on the pitch.

I am always in the “union” and love watching great goalkeeping but Lloris is overrated imo,I have said that the last few years when some mentioned him up there with De Gea and Neuer.#bollocks

He’s a decent keeper but makes enough mistakes and simply concedes goals he should save to be even mentioned as one of the best

Poor again today. Spurs might need to think about an upgrade if they really want to push on.

Keeper isn’t that important (unless you’re de Gea-good), but Lloris really is one of Spurs’ worst players. Not even top 10 in terms of goalkeepers in the league, I would go as far as saying he isn’t even the best in their squad.

I love the guy, yes he has made a few howlers this season, a slump in form but he is still the French no 1 and I am happy with him. At the end of the day who could we get to replace him? Like any keeper his mistakes are highlighted more than his saves. He will be no 1 next season,

Nonsense, he had a rough season, he's still one of the best goalkeepers in the world until he doesn't snap out of this in the world cup/next season.
