    I like him.

Made an effort to follow his progress through the B team at Bilbao where possible. Hope he carries through the form and development and doesn't get bogged down with injuries and watch the hype fade like Iker Munian.

Still too early to talk of a release clause with any hope of a bid for him I feel. Still erratic but that's standard with such a young attacking player. He'd be best served staying put for 18 months yet at the very least.

Never heard of him. The montage was entertaining though, the first goal was class.

But no thanks. We're already trying to bed a few 21 year old's into the first team, "you can't win anything with kids" as Alan Hansen liked to say.

He is good. Believe me. As they say maybe better for him to get a bit more consistency with Bilbao.

If he is quick and skilful, then keep him away from LvG

Never heard of him, but that's a great little video right there.

Knowing Bilbao, negotiating that 20 mil euro clause isn't that straightforward.

    Memphis was good...

Edit: Let me clarify that actually.

Memphis is good...he's just been shackled by a chain of bad performances, as to expected by a 21 year old lad. It takes time to settle, and more time for a young kid to consistently influence a game. We already plenty of potential in the squad, and not enough performers.

Even buying a young Ronaldo, at this point in time, would hurt us when we need match winning performances now and consistently

I really do hope Memphis comes good (obviously), but I'm not sure I see it at the moment. It is ridiculous to speculate this early on in his career but every time I watch him nothing in his game suggests to me has it in him. Completely normal for a young player to seem as out of his depth initially tbf, they won't all be like Sterling especially if they come from abroad. He has shown moments so hopefully its just an issue of lack of form and consistency masking his talent.

Good. Nothing to worry about with regards to the Dipper's interest then.

Sort of get that vibe and stylistically it's probably why he looks good; easier for a fast, robust physical winger/striker to stand out where technical abilities are held higher, but his general skill level looks higher. Welbeck wouldn't have ever scored a goal like that.

I heard he is the fastest player in la liga. I would not opposed such a signing because their is nothing wrong with adding that attribute to your team.

Scored the goal that got Bilbao past Villareal in the Copa del Rey on Wednesday, when most people thought Villareal would get through. Assisted by Aymeric Laporte, why not two birds with one stone.

He looks awesome. Really smooth dribbler. Glides across the pitch.

Do we need another young winger, though? In my opinion, we should be looking for the finished article. Someone who we know is going to come in and deliver.

We need attackers who will improve our squad with genuine pace and the ability to take players on successfully. Whether they are the 'finished article' or not is immaterial, especially if chasing these means missing ones like Inaki who will be a clear improve to the side.

€20m is also peanuts for a highly rated talent.

Why exactly? Our team lacks a Robben type player. Not sure why you'd not want a certain type of player who'd no doubt improve the team. Mata not on the right wing, makes so much sense to me.

When has a flair player ever done well under LvG?
Robben is one, but that was over few games in total, over a sustained period he has shown he can't manage them effectively.
Di Maria should still be here tearing PL defences a new asshole but LvG fecked up. Memphis is a genuine talent he is messing up. You can go back further to Ribery or Rivaldo who he managed in their primes, neither speak of him particularly highly

Rivaldo prior to the fall out, Figo, Robben. I'm sure there are plenty more. As Van Gaal will only be here a maximum of summer 2017, over a sustained period isn't going to be a massive issue.
Williams, seems to be a hard working winger. I'm sure if identified as a target he'd be fine, Van Gaal usually works best with young players.
I really care not what Ribbery has to say about any person. Picking such a a vile person as a judge of character isn't a great idea. obviously Van Gaal is a abrasive sod, so he'll probably upset many of his players. He doesn't need to be their friend, simply to manage them.

He's black and his surname name is Williams. Typical attributes of a Basque native. Or have Bilbao stopped their Basque only policy?

He was born there. Your parents don't have to be Basque to live there.

He's born in Bilbao to African parents so he still counts as Basque which is kinda refreshing to see IMO.

Versatile, pacy, physical winger who can play on either side?

Isn't he exactly the sort of player we should be after?

Him being a Basque has nothing to do with his name or skin colour. If he's born in Bilbao, which is he was, then he qualifies.
