Phil is ill, not injured or suspended. He shall therefore not fit the philosophy of this thread.

Rojo, Valencia, Herrera, Carrick, Shaw all out for tomorrow. A bit of a defensive crisis. One more injury and we will have problems.

Its the sky article, right? Doesn't say they are out injured, but they did miss training. Im hoping because LVG has already decided to give them a rest and prepare them for the Arsenal game over the weekend.

Ah fair I just assumed out of training meant out injured. But can't see why Valencia and Herrera needs a rest.

Rojo and Shaw was already known. I would hold my breath why Herrera, Carrick and Valencia missed the training, maybe they are not needed for tommorow match and they have a rest. But it is strange to give rest to both Carrick and Herrera because we need some backup midfielders on the bench, same with Valencia because while we can play Darmian as RB and Young as LB we need some backup on the bench.
Maybe youngsters like Pereira, Harrop and Varela will made the bench but it is strange to try to give opportunity to youngsters in a match as important as is tommorow especially when we already lost against PSV.

LVG clarified that Carrick is out, and the other two have minor injuries. Lets see. Don't think they will be as big a miss tomorrow, as they may be on Sunday.

Herrera was supposed to just have a knock. But no news on what kind of knock that is keeping him out so long.

The annoying thing is that even if Herrera wasn't injured he'd barely have played anyway.

Low said Bastian needs 2 or 3 days rest and it seems Carrick's injury isn't serious. Fingers crossed.

So basically Carrick's is not serious (can't trust that owl Hodgson's judgement though), Rooney is being kept out just to ensure he gets rest, recovers and doesn't miss games for United (good job from owl there) and Schweini may recover as well. Provided Schneiderlin stays fit, for Everton we only need one of Carrick and Schweini. Hopefully everyone else comes back unscratched :nervous:

    Injury update after today:

    http://www.manutd.com/en/News-And-F...-early-team-news-for-psv-eindhoven-clash.aspx

Jones and Herrera unavailable for Wednesday, LVG states the injuries aren't too heavy. Herrera has a hamstring injury and Jones twisted his ankle.

Rooney might play on Wednesday, he stayed at home today.

Martial's injury isn't as heavy as the media made it out to be, but he might not play on Wednesday

Wilson got a swollen knee in training

Rojo was benched due to jet lag

When is Jesse Lingard back? It will be a big boost to our attacking options once he's available again.
