Was looking for this thread so I could ask if we've ever had a legit starting 11 out injured.

That side would batter our current Fit XI.
...if they weren't injured obviously. Would probably be nil all in their current condition.

Seriously, this farcical. Every season we and Arsenal seem to have the most number of players in the treatment room. I do wonder if there's something a bit off with our methods.

    The following are presently injured:

De Gea, Smalling, Jones, Rojo, Valencia, Shaw, Schweinsteiger, CBJ, Fellaini, Young, Rooney and Martial

Rojo and Valencia have just returned to training (I think).

Valencia's in separate early training for his injury, not full training with the team.

The biggest probem is playing our best players all the time even against shit opponents and not resting anyone even in pointless competitions, not even when we were winning later in those games. Injuries to the likes of Smalling and Martial* were always going to happen with the way we were using them, everyone could expect them. Well, except our idiot manager of course.

*Smalling missed just one game this season and that was when he was injured and Martial is most featured U21 player in the Europe!

LVG said De Gea would be back for Arsenal, I am hoping that Smalling and Martial will also be ready

So we have Jones, Valencia and Januzaj back soon? That's quite good. Shaw out for another three months though?:nervous:

They would be three ideal players to restore to the side, given the physicality of West Broms approach, but have any of them played at all since recovering from injury?

So any idea when Young, Rooney, Jones and Borthwick-Jackson are back in contention?

Most must be back after the international break, surely?

The physioroom had Young/Rooney/Herrera/CBJ all due back straight after the international break. Jones had same date but that it was doubtful.

What's up with CBJ? Is he injured? Rojo has been quite poor at LB, especially from good attacking positions. We can do with some of the quality that CBJ showed. Any news on him?

I saw that Eric Bailly is back in training, but it was in the Express, so I tend to doubt it.

The difference from last season is amazing - almost no major injury problems this time around; though with our fixture list come march - expect a few knocks.

P.S : @Sultan Do update the thread title to 16-17, if we are planning to keep this as the official injury/suspension thread.

Any news on when we can expect Pogba back? He hasn't travelled for the internationals either.

Any updates on Bailly, Pogba and Shaw? How long are they going to be out?
