Pick our 23 or Trap's 23?
your 23 put point out who you are leaving out that Trap would pick
So we're picking a 38 man squad?
Given, Westwood, Murphy.
O Shea, Kelly, Dunne, St Ledger, O Dea, Ward, Kilbane, Clark.
McGeady, Coleman, Andrews, Whelan, Fahey, Duff, Hunt.
Keane, Doyle, Walters, Cox, McCarthy.
cats and sacks lads, only 75% of the job done
No Shane Long?
Bill sounds wrong saying "tweets" and "hashtag".
Not who I think will be picked, rather who I'd want to be:
The one he read out made no fecking sense either.
Totally forgot about him!
I would go along pretty much with De Selby. Best over Cox for sure
Its not nice when you compare it to the 23 we took to Korea/Japan
Very harsh on Gibson, De Selby.
It's odd that we have more quality up front than at the back.
But we have our best defender since McGrath.
Seán St. Ledger
Shane Long, Keith Fahey, Darron Gibson and Greg Cunningham would be close to it.
I'd consider Paddy Kenny and Steven Reid if we had injuries and they would come out of retirement.
I would in no way consider bringing Stephen Kelly, Paul Green, Cillian Sheridan, Anthony Stokes and Andy Keogh on the plane.
I'll use my wildcard and replace Cox with Long!
I'm surprised that I am the only one picking Hoolahan (so far).
I'm known for my ruthlessness.
Nani in Football Manager 2010 will attest to that.
Forgot about Hoolahan. I would bring him
Kilbane on a couple of lists is a bit surprising. Dont get me wrong, back in the day I thought he was great for us
I couldn't be arsed getting my hopes up thats why
And if Greg Cunningham got playing and did well for Forest, I'd pick him over Kevin Kilbane.
But it's your squad. Don't mind Trap.
Forgot all about Steven Reid.
Bit of a shame what's happened to him.
On my list, he is my 23rd man. I'd bring Cunningham if he starts playing. I'd possibly even bring Fahey instead, as Stephen Hunt can play left back. Kevin Foley & John O'Shea could cover also.
He said on Off the Ball that he would consider playing if we got a load of injuries. He wouldn't make himself available now as he wasn't part of the qualifying campaign. Barring injuries to 3 or 4 centre midfielders, Reid has played his last game for us, unfortunately.
i think Doyle has been more effective than a certain 35 million pound striker
which isnt really much of a compliment
stick him in a side where he's going to get plenty of service and he'd offer a decent plan b.... if he's paired with a speedy striker he'll give plenty of flick ons
That was a bad show by Trap not to get him involved in the qualifying campaign.
Reid never let us down when he was fit. He deserved to be treated better.
Edit: And he can play full-back. I dare say he'd be a far safer choice than Kelly.
A positive. We have almost a certain 1st 11. Majority of which have played all the games. I realise some arent exactly very good but they will be well drilled and hopefully well prepared for the finals.
I will be gutted if if we get destroyed in the groups. But we should all be pleased if we still have a fighting chance going into the 3rd game
Then again we could get Spain, England and Portugal
Gary Breen is back!
At the start of the last campaign when Reid played against Georgia and Montenegro (I think) he looked a class above anyone else we have. Trap's man-management failed him with Reid, it has to be said.
Ronnie with some biting political commentary.
I think he has president and taoiseach mixed up though.
Just be glad he knew what country he was referring to.
Hope we get Ireland
How are the perfidious albion doing?
Did someone read the Indo to Ronnie this morning? "The economy's not the best in the world". Thanks for that, Ronster.
He probably went to the stadium by taxi; always a good way to catch up on what's hot in the news.
It's all gonna fall apart
