I sat with my mate in the pub and we started talking about former rivals to United but then started talking about teams we like / support in other leagues and teams we dislike. To make the story short I found that I have no reason to dislike Juventus but I do, the same with the Brazilian national team..

So what teams / national teams do you guys dislike without a rational reason?

Real Madrid. Everybody shits on city and PSG, Chelsea etc but Real had been inflating the market and buying their way to success for decades before the sugar daddy clubs came around. They've stopped in that regard recently though tbf

On the contrary, there seems quite a bit to dislike about Juventus, but I like them for some reason.

West Ham irrationally annoy me sometimes. Give across the vibe they think they're bigger than they are. A bit like Newcastle...but then Newcastle have actually come close to winning the title occasionally and have become a sort of running football joke anyway.

West Ham, especially for all the Boleyn Stadium shit they pulled before leaving UPTON PARK. And then gave themselves a grandiose leaving do for a stadium that has seen feck all bar united losing a league one time

I don't have any rational reason to dislike Arsenal since they are our puppies whenever we play them in Europe, but for some reason I still do.

It's probably more to do with their fanbase than the actual club. Arsenal fans come across as very deluded and arrogant. They are nowhere near as big as they think they are, and they overrate their own players massively.

Can't stand Barcelona or Real Madrid. Especially Barcelona and how everyone idolises them. Makes me sick at times.

Also England. I shouldn't hate them cause United are an English team but I can't stand most of their players. It's mostly Liverpool and Spurs heavy. Back in the day, I wanted to see the likes of Beckham and Scholes win for them but at the same time, I couldn't stomach the thought of someone like Gerrard or Terry stealing all the glory and parading around with the World Cup and making it all about themselves so maybe it was for the best.

Bunch of small time wankers, Newcastle and Spurs even more so as they have both been unbelievable assholes during their brief times in the sun.

This is the reason I despise them. They took away the delight of Liverpool handing us the title.

West Ham, their fans seem to think their rivals with all the big clubs and they think they're bigger than they actually are to be honest.

Lazio, the past couple of seasons they seem to be 2nd or 3rd in the first half of the season, they have no business being there.

Barcelona, I hate how all the pundits big them up and overate them not to mention they took two UCL titles from us :(. I just can't stand them which is why I was so happy when Bayern thrashed them 7-0 over two legs :D.

good idea for a thread, Liverpool will have to be thrown in there, they go on as if Bob Paisley was a life long vocal advocate of full employment, gender equality and the abolition of all wrongs and actually would have achieved it if it wasn't for the media's preference for Manchester United.

Same applies to Stoke too. They seem to think United in particular are their biggest rivals, and there is a real hatred from their side. They've started making Munich references and everything. It's weird.

I quite liked them under Pulis, and how their clogger Sunday League tactics caused some real problems for top sides, to the point that Andy Gray alleged that the best player in the world wouldn't even be able to play at their place in certain conditions on a particular weekday night.

I don't mind them now either, but it's moaning Mark Hughes that does my head in more than anything.

Sunderland is mine. I have no reason for it. Them doing the Poznan to us when City scored to win the league certainly exacerbated it, but I really didn't like them before that. It subsided a little bit when Big Sam was the manager, as I've got a lot of time for him. It definitely got firmly back on track when Moyes took over. I hope they keep getting relegated until there is nowhere for them to get relegated to.
