Football legend according to who? Let’s not throw that word around meaninglessly. I’ve seen comments about how better players like Ribery aren’t football legends so please let’s turn it down a notch.

France have had and will have way better players than Griezmann. Germany don't give that much of a shit about Götze and he won them the World Cup final.

In the 70th minute or so I realized he was on the pitch. He lost the ball out to a throw in.

His greatest contribution in this match came somewhere around the 20-25 minute mark when he made a great risky tackle on Ronaldo in front of ATM's penalty area. When the best contribution you remember from a team's most dangerous attacking outlet is actually of a defensive nature, there's nothing more to be said.

Who took that hard shot where Morata was offside? If it was someone else then I didn't see Griezmann at all.

Weird that Morata was more visible.

He was stupid to reject us. He's not exactly setting the world alight with Athletico.

With all the due respect, he made the right choice in turning you down. Atletico is a solid reality whereas United though being a massive club it’s still in rebuilding phase.
The mistake was rather not to join Barcelona last summer.

Atletico are a dwindling force. They are way too reliant on their core who are aging and/or leaving like Godin. Their young signings haven't worked out and they don't have the money to keep getting them consistently wrong.

Us on the other hand are the opposite. We've got a very young squad with super high potential. Obviously Atletico are better then us currently (imo) but I don't think it'll be the case a season or 2 from now and I definitely don't think Atletico are going to win anything during that time. They are too far behind Barca in La Liga and Real Madrid will be back with a vengeance.

Honestly would still love him here, I don't care about his celebrations, we've got plenty who have similar celebrations to him. 18 goals and 8 assists isn't to be sniffed at! Like other's have said under Ole...

4312 or 433 with our attackers interchanging ect. Martial, Griezmann, Rashford is better than Martial, Rashford, Sancho. Would cost similar price too but i'd have Antoine. Fight me

Was a half-decent CB for Porto, now plays for Marseille. Also played a few games in the NT with Ronaldo. Together with Orlando they complete a triple anagram of Portuguese names.

Was Barcelona ever in for him seriously? Why would they need Griezmann when they were stockpiling young talents like Dembele, Arthur... and have experienced players like Messi leading things anyway?
Griezmann could have come to Manchester United and played directly in Lingard's role, with his mate Pogba feeding him through-balls (And having Pogba as a dance mate). However he chose to stay at Atletico due to the money and fear of leaving his comfort zone. He is now paying the price which he was fully aware of, I think. In a couple years, people will talk about him like they talk about Ozil these days: Full of nostalgia and "What if"... That's all.

Rebuilding phase? Nah, not more than a few tweaks required as it is with every team. Mourinho just couldn't get this team to play.

But Griezmann rejected the transfer in 2017, not last summer (when he turned Barcelona down). That was 2 years ago, whereas the turning point for you was what, 3 months ago?
Would you really blame him for not having waited 2 years, without any guarantees that United could finally start to be soon competitive again?

I think you would agree with me here that the true mistake was rejecting to join Barcelona, especially if as he says he doesn’t want to leave Spain.

The way I see it, he’ll leave this summer or the next.

What makes it a better decision to stay at Atlético than to go to United ? What did he win more at Atlético than he would have at Manchester united ?

United won the EL and the league cup, atlético won the EL during that time.

In addition to that, him being in the squad could have helped United take the next step. In addition to this, on a personal note, he would have gotten so much out of going to United, more exposure, more money, playing in a competitive league ....

Ibra is a violent reckless thug on and off the field.

Imagine Pogba or any other high profile black footballer being this violent?

Yet we call his ass a 'God'?

He should have joined Barcelona when given the chance (if rumors were to be believed). He's a great player but hasn't shown consistency to be called world class, although one could argue the whole Simeone's system is restricting such attacking consistency.

He also could've upped his level at United too. Well, maybe not until Jose parted ways.

He'll probably retire as a ''what if'' player just like Le Tissier.

So because Lingard is cringeworthy and Pogba colours his hair and likes to dance to celebrate goals, you will be happy to see them leave? That's the dumbest shit I've heard

Ibrahimovic is an extremely self-assured person and one of the best strikers this generation has seen. But what we also saw when he came to this club is that he's a natural born leader. Have some respect

I have no respect for thugs like that, NOT him, NOT Cantona, not Roy Keane, none of them thugs deserve it.

Play the game the right way, be an example to young children watching.

It's ironic that Lukaku gets so much hate, but the man is the true definition of sportsmanship. Doesn't get violent, or throw a tantrum when things don't go his way.

He doesn't have to fly-kick opposing fans to prove it.

Even Cantona, the catalyst of our success does not deserve respect from some supposedly "fans"? Wow... :nervous:
Roy Keane, "captain courageous" who was instrumental in our treble season does not deserve respect?
