Lazio handicapped by starting Caicedo today.
When was the last time lazio got in to the champions league ?
2006-07 i think
Wow, meelan are actually good
That long ?
Jesus, thought it'd only been about 4-5 years.
Getting booked for not being able to decide who to aim at during a throw in has got to be one of the stupidest ways to get booked. Get a grip, ffs, Antonelli!
Milan have played well enough tonight but it is Lazio who are capitulating.
Great fecking save by Gigio
Andre silva hasnt scored a league goal yet
Excuses are running out in his case. Milan might have to cut their losses and move him on in the summer.
Italian football is so incredibly slow and dull most of the time. All throw-ins and changes take decades, players just standing still with the ball. Sometimes it looks like both teams have the calmness of a team leading 2-0 in the 89th minute, I wonder if this Lazio-team knows that they are 2-1 down against the team in 11th before the game started?
Solid win for Milan who go up to 7th in the table. First time in almost a year that they've won 3 in a row. Lazio remain 3rd but Roma can leapfrog them tonight if they win.
Milan are really quite shit aren't they
Italy going down to 3 teams for CL has hurt them. They would've made it last season when they played some excellent stuff.
Meh not really no. Run out of steam in the second half against a better team, and they just suffer for the lack of a quality CF. Andre Silva couldn't keep a ball to save his life...
They were good in the first half though, turns out Montella really was a big part of the problem(the biggest was and remains the CF situation. They're the poster boys for why strikers are the most important players in football)
Btw, Cutrone scored with his arm
Surprised Kalinic has struggled to make an impact, he was great for Fiorentina who are really missing him.
I watched the second half and it was so boring.
Is it often like that?
I just watched the first half and it was great. End to end stuff.
Brilliant header from Bonaventura.
He should play more often for Italy.
Only saw the second half tbf. I've caught 2-3 of their games this season so maybe I've just been unlucky. They haven't impressed me though.
If only he was as good at playing football as he is on instagram. Who cares about scoring goals when you have hair like that?
40 million on a portuguese striker straight from Porto's bench... bonkers signing. On a good note, Eder might end up going to the World Cup after all.
Milan do seem to have improved a bit since they knocked Inter out of the cup.
Worth noting they're still 15 points off the CL spots.
And to think Inter were leading the table until one month ago . Now they are 13 points behind Napoli and without a win in their last 6 games.
Great win for Milan against Lazio! Didn't expect it.
No, they only started to be somewhat good recently. Their first half today was probably the best they've played all season
Saw a really good twitter thread recently about Inter's troubles over the past few years.
Roma-Samp part two should be a good one.
Cost me nearly 300€ as well. Ridiculous.
Didn't know Barca signed Billy Idol in this transfer window aswell.
I swear their troubles started when they dropped both of J.Mario and Brozovic in favour of Vecino and Gagliardini. Not only are J.Mario and Brozovic better in my opinion, it also forced Valero to play as the #10 despite playing his best stuff this season as the deep playmaker.
Roma are another team who have run out of fuel in the last month. We call them "Rometta" (little Roma) because they always bottle it when it matters
Inter were just Candreva-Icardi-Perisic. As long as these 3 worked Inter were up for it.
5 games without a win for Inter
6 games without a win for AS Roma.
We are 10 points far from 4th place but if they keep playing like today we have a small chance to get a UCL spot
Those 3 were the stars but I liked the whole team. Mario, Brozovic, Valero were all good midfielders, I liked Cancelo and Nagatomo at FB, and the CBs in Miranda and Skriniar were good, too. I felt having to DMs in Gagliardini and Vecino - with Valero as the #10 - really unbalanced the team.
Crazy I only recognise 3 players, one for his work at Juve, one for his free kicks in the Bundasliga and the keeper.
Ten years ago you could name their team off by heart.
Joao Mario and Brozovic(who started today) were always backups. Joao Mario in particular barely played for them this season. No idea what you're talking about honestly
I'm not saying Valero/Mario/Brozovic all played together the majority of the time which happened only, at most, a couple of times, I meant completely dropping both from the XI instead of rotating. Both weren't undisputed starters but the games I watched where they played well involved at least one of them beside Valero who was the deepest midfiedler instead of a #10, with a Vecino/Gagliardini; not both.
Joao Mario hasn't had a single good performance this season(in which he play the equivalent of 6 games), Brozovic is super inconsistent. Inter's starting midfield has been Gagliardini-Vecino-Borja from the start
Separate names with a comma.
