Wait for him to tell you that's not a penalty....
Fiorentina - Juventus tomorrow. If the latter win it will put immense pressure on Napoli who are facing Lazio, who granted its at their home, but Lazio will have a point to prove.
We play Spal who we should beat comfortably. Its probably the first time this season there's a sense of hope around Milan, after the shit show under Montella. Honestly i did not expect it with Gatusso in charge..but let the good times roll baby
Remember what happened against Benevento? Don't jinx the only decent streak Milan have put together this season
I'm interested to know what the recent performances of Juve have been like (given that we soon face them in the CL) - anyone care to comment?
They're hitting form. Conceded only 1 goal in 14 games. Only 2 draws in 14 games (first was vs Barcelona, second one was vs at the time in form Inter). 10 consecutive victories in all competitions.
Juventus being Juventus. You don't see free scoring all the time, but they solid in defense and efficient in taking their chances.
One little advantage for Tottenham is Juventus has tough fixture around their CL games, and Juventus is still trailing Napoli on Serie A table so they would be stretched on all front.
Another plus for Spurs is that Matuidi looks like he'll miss the game.
He's been pretty crucial to Juve adapting to the 4-3-3/4-5-1 this season.
Dybala might be fit to face Tottenham.
They've been frankly terrifying but the very good news is Matuidi will be out, which means you have a chance to score now
Now if Dybala doesn't recover in time, you might have even chances of going through
It's a tough fixture for Spurs for sure, but games like this are what the CL is all about.
It will be interesting to see how well Pochettino has done his homework on Juve and what his tactical game plan will be.
This is a "do or die" game for Fiorentina. They literally hate Juventus with all their heart
Ghoulam fractured his kneecap in today's training (on the same ligament injured leg), it seems they haven't learn from the Milik mishaps, forcing players to come back fast after serious injuries means only trouble.
Hmmm...didn't Milik injure his other knee after he came back?
VAR carnage there, they eventually got the right decision after rolling it back but feck me that was bad, poor Fiorentina had the ball on the penalty spot for a good 2 minutes. Juve haven't started well at all here.
Apparently it was the wrong decision after all, no offside as Sandro kicked the ball. Fiorentina should be fuming
Absolute mess that was with VAR.
Nearly 1-0 to Fiorentina, would've been a nice goal.
Poor performance. We are badly outfought. Unfortunately, that was to be expected. It's their game of the season, while it is only some annoying duty for us that we need to get out of the way before the CL. We need to keep it tight at the back and when they tire, we will bring on Douglas Costa to run at them. Hopefully, that will be enough.
Is Buffon back to being number one? Would be very harsh on Szczesny who looks a very assured keeper these days.
Would be weird end to his amazing career if Buffon missed the world cup and just sat on the bench for his final Juventus season.
1-0 Bernadeschi free kick against his former club
Stupid free kick to give away, hope Fiorentina don't collapse now.
Typical Juventus win I guess
I hate juve so much
Bit harsh that 2nd goal by Higuian.
Ref has been very lenient towards Juve. Pijanic has gotten away with a few clear professional fouls which broke up some Fiorentina moves. But when Fiorentina has done the same, immediate yellow.
Unlucky Fiorentina, that dodgy VAR call, hitting the post and creating quite a few chances, Juve are gonna win the league again aren't they.
Can't help but feel Napoli are just delaying the inevitable
Proper title race this in Italy. Napoli's 'scudetto pact' is really pushing Juve to the limit.
Wow 14 clean-sheets in the last 15 games
Agree. Matter of time till Juve get the lead and extend the gap as well. Napoli have done well so far but I think the pressure will get to them sooner or later.
Not a great game in the end, but once again, Juventus showed a rock solid defence and that's what win you the title in Serie A.
They're bored. Serie A bores them. And still they win
I think you should know better the story before drawing conclusions. I remember very well since inter fans have been crying over it ever since. It was penalty, but just as a reminder IF it was awarded and IF it was scored Inter would have gone level in that game and still be behind Juve for the title. Btw Juve was winning before Del Piero penalty which was missed anyway and that was very clear and certainly not lighter as you imply in your post.
In that title race there were many episodes also in favour of Inter, just to mention one of many in the game against Juve in Milan won by Inter 1-0 there was a clear penalty on Inzaghi (min 3.36 below) that was not given but strangely that is never mentioned as usual when the other fans speak about Juve. Just a few examples below for fun
In a league title there are always controversial decisions, the little game of only noting those in favour and never those against is Italian fans favourite hobby and we are seeing it this year with Napoli that for sure has not been unlucky with referees.
Line up against SPAL -
Cutrone broke the deadlock and Biglia scored his first goal for Milan as he added the third just now. 3-0.
Even Borini scores!
But not Andre Silva
Who can score more goals? A 40 mil Instagram poster, or a average hardworking football player?
Should have put a clause in his contract that he'd have to shave his hair off if he didn't get to 10 league goals.
The thing about him is he's actually got good physical and technical tools, he's just so so mentally soft. Cutrone is worse than him in every way except the one that matters, he plays with real hunger and confidence. Andre Silva plays like he's doing someone a favour. He's like the guy you beg to play in a 5 a side when one guy didn't show up, who'd much rather spend time with his girl but decides to help you out because he doesn't want to look like a d*ck
Hope Napoli do the business later
My memory was actually sketchy. I always thought Juventus scored that penalty awarded so was surprised when Pagliuca (Villa fan) actually saved it.
Anyway, any Juve fan going to answer my question...Buffon or Wojech for the run in? Guess one could play in CL and the other in the league. Guess the way Juve is defending again it doesn't really matter.
Separate names with a comma.
