Uh, what? Cristiano? Dybala? Pjanic? Alex Sandro? Cancelo? Douglas Costa, Mandzukic, Bernardeschi, Matuidi, Khedira...this is the best juventus team in decades. Even just in the first XI, it's right up there with their best all time and definitely the best of the post calciopoli era

Well previous poster was making the reasonable point that Vidal-Pogba-Pirlo was a pretty sexy midfield and that gone Juve unbeaten seasons in Seria A aswell. Their BBC defence was also at its peak in those days. Didn't quite have the calibre of strikers they do now I concede.

As ever with me 90s is where it's at. Zidane, Deschamps, Del Piero, Inzaghi/Trezeguet, Montero etc, wow just wow.

the 102 points and the unbeaten season are different seasons. Juventus defence is actually better now, and their attack is world apart. Juve's midfield isn't as far from that either. The Pirlo-Vidal-Pogba team of 13/14 doesn't win the title last season imho. It really wasn't all that great of a team. League was weak and they went at it like mad all year long. This juve side is beating better competition in 3rd gear

Don't worry, I'm sure referees don't give penalties to Juventus because there's a conspiracy and they hate Ronaldo.

Weren't AC Milan still a really good team in that era, I remember Zlatan obviously and Robinho having a really good season one time they won Serie A.

Right, cause that's what I said. Brilliant...

Why make an account only to make stupid replies to one single poster you're obsessed about? Is this your second account and you actually comment on football on another one? Please explain it to me.

2014-15 is arguably better, better midfield, defense and goalkeeper. Tevez in attack was a beast too.

Juventus could still play their reserves in the league and still walk Serie A

14/15 yes, 'cause Tevez was an animal that season. They finished below 90 points though(mainly because they didn't need it), and they were more mature. Marchisio was spectacular as well, plus Morata and Pogba. Vidal and Pirlo were worse, but the team as a whole was definitely better

@FootballHQ yes, with Allegri as coach. Still, that juventus side was far from great. They took advantage of Milan committing suicide, some, let's say, questionable calls from refs, and no european torunaments. They were really good with a full week rest, but struggled with midweek games. Drew a lot of games and finished barely above 80 points. Nobody remembers that season's side as memorable.

yes I partially agree with you if it wasn't that in Italy the popular feeling has already been used more than once to build the case for prosecutors and always vs Juve so forgive us for being oversensitive :D

There's no calciopoli lurking beyond the horizon. Any scandal involving your club won't be about what happens on the pitch. The stands now...:D

Meh, the one you got was very close distance, depends how wide was the arm. Didn't see a good angle so can't comment. Haven't heard anyone say anything about it tho

I did from Neapolitan fans that claim it was not penalty (tend to agree) and Ronaldo should have been red carded :D

Anyway going back to more interesting things, I think this Juve will be able to claim the spot of the best ever only if we finally win the CL otherwise it will still be a step behind. Personally I think looking at the whole squad of 20 players this might definetly be the best ever, but in the 11 top choices I still think there might be at least a couple stronger Juve teams. The midfield of our first CL final was better than this even though with the rapid growth of Benta now this is not far behind.

Can't look beyond Zoff-Cabrini-Gentile-Scirea-Brio-Tardelli-Bonini-Platini-Bettega-Rossi-Boniek. There's a very good reason why the '83 CL final was and still is considered one of the biggest upsets in history

It's always so with Juventus. Referees are always against Juventus because all media are against Juventus. If they make a mistake pro Juve it's a scandal and all media attack him like US media against Trump. And you can be sure that all decisions pro Juve are considered mistakes, whatever the rule is. And no decision against Juventus are signalized by newspapers or TV's. They disappear in less than a second.
Last season Juventus has been penalized many times (against Udinese the referee refused to concede a clear penalty to Mandzukic, and then Mandzukic received the red card because of complaints). Naples on the opposite was never penalized and many times could score points because of clearly wrong decisions (one time the referee conceded a penalty to Naples when a player of this side kicked a teammate in the opponent's box).

You can bet what you want that at the end of the season fans of Inter or Naples will protest because Juventus won only because of referee's decisions helping them. And all media will confirm this lie as usual.

Fans of Napoli are crying over YESTERDAY's game FFS, they wanted Ronaldo red carded, Chiellini's goal offside and of course the penalty not given. They are shameless, there is not a single match with Juve in which they do not cry over referees, unbelievable

Very unlucky defeat. Should have really won against such a poor Milan side. The table still looks great though.

Thought Milan were the better side and should’ve killed the game completely with several attacks towards the end that Cutrone, Kessie and Borini all managed to repeatedly feck up.

Milan were playing Zapata-Abate CB pair, and are still forced to play Bakayoko in midfield. Half miracle they won today

This is why they'll never win, not even Ancelotti could change their "always crying" mentality.
    Probably nobody can.

Isn't Pellisser about 40 now? Seems to have been playing for Chievo ever since they were promoted to Seria A in 2001.

Just scored for them v Lazio. Would be one of the most amazing survival feats if they stay up.

Can’t believe Milan are fourth, the title race might be done but the fight for 2nd, 3rd and 4th is going to be very good.

Heh. If Inter win tonight 2nd and 3rd will be set. Fight for 4th will be interesting though

Rocchi :houllier: how the feck did he not even check VAR there. If VAR told him nothing then the guy in charge of VAR needs to be sacked

    Anyways, good for us

Haven't been following Roma a huge amount this season but how come Pastore and Perotti are on the bench tonight? Has Kluivert made much impact for them?

Schick upfront behind a defensive minded midfield dosen't look great to get them back in the game.

They are continuosly saying that last year they deserved the "scudetto" because they were the best team in Italy and Juventus won cheating, even if all neutral people knows that last year they have been helped many times to win or equalize some matches and on the opposite Juventus was many times penalized (but then won in any cases the match because Juventus was the better team in Serie A).
In the history they have won the Serie A only two times (and the UEFA Cup one time) with Maradona, that everyone knew he was a drug addicted, but never was found guilty by the antidoping authority because there was a conspirancy to help him. Without Maradona Naples won nothing important in all his history (some Italy Cup).

And with Marcello Lippi as manager. A magnificent way to play for many years. The side with a very young Del Piero, Vialli and Ravanelli was impressive. They could run for 90 minutes and press every single opponent in every point of the field

I don't think that was a penalty, it was more like a dive. But fair draw anyway, better leaving Roma so behind for the CL spots and secure 3rd spot becouse they are the most dangerous team on the paper than Milan or Lazio

No mate, it was a clear penalty. Clear trip.

Not so sure it was a good result either. Roma playing without Fazio, De Rossi, Pellegrini, Dzeko and El Sha...Zaniolo-Cristante-Nzonzi in midfield and Santon at RB...really should have won this. Oh well. Still in a comfortable position, bring on the cnuts

Btw, today we laughed at Mike Dean in the PL thread, but it bears repeating here: how in the bloody feck is Rocchi still allowed near a serie A pitch :houllier:

that was a clear penalty as clear as they come, it is unbelievable that VAR did not revise the decision.
BTW the young zaniolo is very good
