Hate it. Apparently that black jersey is their home jersey for the Champions League.

That is so nice. Only club kit outside United's I'm now considering to get! Regret we left Nike now as we could have had this collab.

Come on Adidas, do something similar with the Originals logo for us!

I'm not sure if they are directly linked, it has been a thing for more than two years and it's part of QSI's plan to conquest the US market.

PSG are doing these type of things all the time. Remember their limited edition shirt/collection last year or two years ago with black and Balmain as sponsor, looked pretty good.

Agree, I don't have a clue what any of this is. I quite like the shirt though.

Nice looking shirt but a bit stupid, no?

Imagine seeing CR7 on a baseball jersey? They've nothing to do with the other.

I don't think Jordan is a bellend, especially when he is the greatest of all time. I'm not liking the combo tho. I think Basketball should not be mixing it up with football.

As far as I understand it - Michael Jordan was a famous basketball player. He used to do slam dunks in a distinctive way, with his legs sort of spread apart. Nike, the sportswear company took a silhouette of him doing one of these slam dunks and started to put it on sportswear as a symbol and worked with him endorsing their products. Nike Air Jordans are famous basketball boots for example.

So 'Jumpman' would be that silhouette thing and it's just another symbol that Nike use as far as I know. Up until now I've never seen it on anything but basketball stuff which is where it belongs really (imo).

I'm getting old too (39) so some of my details might be off but I was around 10-13 when Michael Jordan stuff became popular (in the UK anyway) and was aware of it so I think I've got the main stuff right.

Imagine if United released a clothing line with an adidas logo in the middle of the crest in place of the Red Devil shield, people would go ape.

The Jordan Brand already has a deal with some US college American Football teams to supply their clothing - I think North Carolina, Oklahoma and Michigan. and this season is the first season where the Jumpman is being seen on American football shoes. In previous seasons, some players who were contracted to Brand Jordan wore cleated versions of Air Jordan shoes - but this year they will also feature the Jumpman on the shoes.

He still makes around $100m a year from Brand Jordan and is still involved closely with it.
