In terms of first XI: * Reina over Friedel (although Friedel has been solid for us so far). * Agger shades it over Kaboul, but the latter has improved hugely since returning from Pompey and is now our first choice partner for King. Give it another 12 months and I reckon Kaboul will start to be far more widely rated as a really good CB. * Assou-Ekotto and Enrique are about equal for me: the former tends to be under-rated on here, but is an ever-present for Spurs and both Harry and most Spurs fans like him a lot. * Suarez over Defoe (if we're talking a 4-4-2, but otherwise it would likely mean dropping VdV, which is a tough call). That's it. In terms of the wider squad, there are several more Liverpool players I'd swap for their Spurs equivalent. Talking about Liverpool more generally, the most striking fact for me is that Liverpool spent far more this summer (gross, not net) than the entire cost of Spurs best XI.
