Same, considering he's managed Chelsea when they got bought over by a billionaire, Inter when they won serie a for about 5 straight years and then Real Madrid, yeah its a good achievement but he's moved from massive club to massive club and had plenty of money to spend. Okay it seems like i'm undermining his achievements but it's true isn't it? La liga is only ever going to go one of 2 ways and Barcelona haven't turned up for most of it this time round.
Benzema curls in a lovely goal.
thats like saying Messi is only good because he faces the same defenders in the same league every season. which is pretty pathetic.
Ive missed every goal switching between this and the African Cup final
Ronaldo cocks one up.
It's not. Building several teams over a long time period is something Mourinho simply has not done. It is important in the context of discussion about what makes a great manager.

I watch football on TV stations, like the olden days
I don't know what you don't get. In law words don't have the exact same meaning that you're used to. He didn't need to have his hands in the air and almost catching the ball. If he had done his job like a normal footballer and try and win the ball by heading it instead of concentrating on fouling then he'd have been alright.
that part im fine with, sometimes Mourinho isnt given enough credit. He did a great job everywhere he went and theres not much people who could do a similar job.
im surprised your not still listening to radio commentaries old timer
edit - timothy goes to school is being played on my tv, im not watching it though my neice and nephew is.
He wasn't thinking about the ball, he was concentrating on an attacking player. By definition, that can not be deliberate. The handball was a by-product of his misguided focus on the attacker, not the player's intention.
BTW why it was so hard for you to explain yourself instead of being needlessly bolshy, I've no idea.
I just read that Levante haven't spent money on a player for 4 years until this season began. Crazy
The poster you were replying to made it clear he wasn't trying to demean Mourinho's achievements, but it is unavoidable when a claim about being one of the best managers is made that arguments will be found to balance that assertion out. Sounds fair enough to me.
levante's coach has a mental problem
WTF was that coach trying to do?
Has their ever been a coach with anywhere near as much as money to spend as he has had in those countries?
i dont know
He has gone to each of those countries and inherited a squad good enough to win the league and then been backed massively in the transfer market too. I am not taking anything away from him as a coach but he knows how to take the right jobs as well.
yes, but how many other coaches recieved a team in those same conditions and won nothing?
I am not for one second saying that he isn't a truly elite coach. I am simply saying that he is a very shrewd mover and that since Porto he hasn't taken a job that is a real risk to his reputation.
Why can't I explain myself? Because I don't have more words to do so. I've showed you the definition of deliberate handball in football. You're still stuck on what you consider deliberate. That doesn't matter. The rules do. Law books sometimes have different definitions than what they normally mean.
You said it yourself. He wasn't thinking about the ball. That his problem because obviously he should have. Had he been thinking about the ball instead of trying to use illegal measures of dealing with attackers he wouldn't have conceded that penalty and subsequently gotten his second yellow card.
My point exactly. The rules are clear. That's why the handball rule is such a hot topic. People don't understand it.
Right, Inter were already so good in the CL before him...
Guess what, Barca are 10pts behind now they don't get so many penalties.
Madrid are only 10 pts in-front because of all the peno's they've had
Oh come on! They can't be getting that many penalties...
