We need to decide whether to try and fecking destroy both of them, risking the result. Or whether to just play to win and hope City slip up against Newcastle.

We need to setup to destroy. You can't leave it to anyone else.

Considering that they play first we'll know the result before kickoff.

We can only do our job now and hope really. Obvious thing to say but there's not much more to add.

    Newcastle play before us anyway.

This is a damn near identical situation to 2010. We needed Liverpool to get something at home to Chelsea, and if they don't, rely on a shit team to go to our rivals and get something. We can play Sunderland away too. Sorry but until Newcastle get something from City, they're champions.

We play after City play Newcastle, so we will know the answer before we kick off.

If City beat Newcastle, we'll be flat and probably not bothered.

In reality it it's not going to be 10 goals needed, it's going to be more like 15 or 16.

We've blown our advantage and we have to hope Newcastle do us a favour. No matter what the result is we have nothing to lose by going back to our form players. We have to try and win well and leave the rest to fate.

Welbeck and Valencia simply have to be in the starting lineup this time.

    Play to win.

Because surely City will score goals too.

And can't see us scoring more than 3 goals in the next 2 games.

Destroy. Can't be counting on other teams to win it for us. Berba is perfect for that. Let Welbeck and Hernandez be on the bench. Welbeck is a poor finisher and Hernandez isn't playing well. Don't think that Swansea or Sunderland defenders can handle Berba at all.

Why can't we beat Swansea 6 or 7 nil? We never play with emphasis on scoring as many as possible, it's always about the bigger picture and getting the points. Next week is different, we need goals. I might be deluded, but I expect some fight from United.

We need to see the result of the Newcastle-City match first.

Go for it! Too many times this season we have fecked around and let teams off from a thrashing. Some of those matches off the top of my head were against fulham at home and 10 man qpr. Probably could have had a few more against villa too.

I would like to see us just fooking go for it and score 6 or 7 goals even if we conceded one or two.

We'll need to win each game by about five or six goals each. Not a chance after a loss like that.

lets say city beat newcastle by one and qpr by 3. thats 12. we would need a 7-0 against swansea to make it someway conceivable and even then ridiculously unlikely. we played 10 man qpr for 80 minutes and scored 2. the only way winning on gd is possible is if city win both by one and we put 6 past swansea, and sunderland get a red card in the first minute. wolves did put 4 past swansea at the weekend so we could hit a few. but wont.

Old Trafford will be that deflated on Sunday, unless Newcastle get something, that it'll take us a while to get going. Can't see us winning by more than a couple.

I don't think we will get 6 points so it's immaterial how many we score.

If City draw, then go for the safe route. If they win, just lineup to try and hammer as much as possible. No point in not trying, there's always the chance.

City will put at least 5 past QPR, so lets get the goal difference idea out of our heads. Newcastle have to come up with the goods, simple really.

Yeah, they are. I also expect City to be nervous, but I can't see them losing it now.

Momentum is everything at this stage of the season and City have got all of it when Newcastle could be playing on Sunday following two defeats. Mind you, nothing is going to script this season so who knows.
