Brilliant news. Frees up Pereira and Henderson to go on loan.

This is the speed at which I would like to see transfers concluded. No 'preparing a bid' bullshit.

    Linked - signed - boom.

DDG better be careful and perform week in week out or else.

    Can't play piano?

    Good strategic signing, nonetheless.

Don't know how I feel about this. Doesn't excite me and doesn't worry me either. Very strange signing but he was superhuman in that OT game in 2016 so if he plays I have no problem.

Does Pereira even have a realistic chance at playing for our first team? The only purpose of signing Grant is to allow him to go on loan yet I don't see him (Pereira) as more than a back up for United.

Decent signing. Lets the younger keepers go on loan, and if De Gea and Romero are out, we’ve a good player in reserve. If they’re not, then I’d rather Grant twiddles his thumbs and “picks his nose” (trademark Anders Lindegaard) than Henderson or Peirera.

    Good signing.

I like the idea it allows us to send all our young keepers on loan, plus selling Sam Johnstone makes it a good piece of business for Utd.

Let's sign all the keepers that have worldies against us.

In all seriousness, a necessary signing if we're sending the young keepers on loan.

I wonder if he'll ever even play? Pretty decent option for 3rd choice so have no complaints as it allows our younger keepers to get valuable loans.

Maybe if Romero doesn't quite fully recover in time for the League Cup games? Maybe pre-season too when De Gea's on holiday.

Well yeah he'll definitely play in pre-season. I meant competitive football. We'll soon find out I suppose. Fair play to him, a great move at this stage of his career.

Wonder if he thought his agent was taking the piss? Relegated with Stoke at the age of 35 and gets a phone call saying Man United are interested.

De Gea, Romero, Grant. That's a tidy squad of goalkeepers there. Eric Steele, when he was at Derby, raved about Lee Grant. Won Stoke's player of the year award in 16/17 too. He's a good signing for a 3rd choice keeper. De Gea is world class. Romero would be a starter at a lot of top clubs, and Grant is good enough to be a concrete starter for mid-table clubs. It's impressive depth.

That said, I'd be surprised if he even plays. Boyhood United fan though, so I'm happy for him.
