I remember being at Blackpool pleasure beach one night when rumor had it Lee Sharpe and Ryan Giggs had just jumped on the Grand national ahead of us. I didn't see him that night but the papermen did and boy was it plastered all over the news in the mornin. Fergie was right nobbed off !

Great read Tom, Sharpe certainly was a great character, remember reading a story about him in Keanes biography regarding a jewellery shop and the purchase of a watch, he stitched Keane up big time!

Love the Gazza story, anyone else and you would'nt believe it!

Yes, we spoke about the "watch incident" last Friday night, amongst other things.

Pally and Gazza stories are hilarious  Gazza is a proper nutter isn't he? An extremely talented one that is. But my favorite gotta be the Robbo one. He must be a pleasure to play with, and extremely painful to play against!

This reminds me of highschool. We had a major junior hockey franchise in our city and all those kids went to our highschool. This one guy, who went on to be one of the more infamous NHL enforcers was one grade ahead of us. We had the same P.E class and after P.E, he'd walk around naked playing with his junk, walking up to people sitting down, inches from their face and ask "Are my balls jacked up?"

Keep in mind the guy was about 6'4 and 220 pounds then as a 17/18 year old!

Stories like that about Robbo show why he is held in such high regard at OT.

His prime was well before United began their dominance of the league... yet he is still remembered as a legend.

United were half the team when he was out with one of his many injuries.
