What did Southgate say - we would take every game as it comes! That’s what the vast majority of English fans did as well - we were happy, we were doing well in a tournament where we had no expectations, the players have been fantastic.

The country is happy, and whilst knocked out tonight, ithe country is proud of this team - why shouldn’t we celebrate it. It’s the best team we have had since 1996.

God Save the queen is a terrible anthem.

I'll agree all day long with that, both the tune and the general message I hate.

Yep. Which is why I have mentioned multiple times in his thread that he has been superb and should be allowed to continue to work for the next 4 years (providing he doesn't have a disastrous Euros).

I agree. I wanted Croatia to do well in the tournament since I'm from the Balkans. But I definitely supported England in this game because of the United players. Don't understand the hate coming from some people.

That’s your problem - we are not crying, we are not throwing our toys out of the pram for losing. We are proud of our team, and don’t care about club affiliations - we are proud of all the players in the squad.

 because so many were already looking forward to playing France on Sunday

Otherwise it's a decent effort and something to be proud of. But it's also the best chance that England will have for a while.

And saying that has pissed you off has it?

Do you see any posts of mine about England before, during or after the loss?

It was only after idiotic posters started crying about United fans laughing at England losing and questioning the United support, calling people glory hunters.

I totally love your country love united and loathe your entitled media and some of your country mates who are extremely obtuse about such stuff.

I'm happy darling, that's where your pathetic WUMming will never work, you do understand that, yes?. England got further than I'd have ever dreamed had you asked ne at the start of the tournament … and for such a young team I know there is hope for the future.

Roy Keane seems to agree and that Irish opinion counts a little more than yours in my book … flower!

Can a loss be a win? If Man Utd lost a semifinal in this manner, you’d be unforgiving of several “scapegoats” in the team. Mourinho would be getting a baptism of fire by now but it’s England - let’s all celebrate their mediocrity.

What does “haters gona hate” even mean? Isn’t that like a teenie boppers saying?

Do you believe people “hate” England or are merely, you know, taking the piss? Football eh.

Oh FFS get a damn clue  We're arrogant if we hope for our team to do well, but we're 'celebrating mediocrity' for getting into the last four of the World Cup!? It's a fantastic achievement for what was the youngest team at the tournament this year. Hardly mediocre.

I would just like to apologise for the bolded part of my post I sent early on in this thread. I was drunk and upset we had lost; so apologies to all non-English United fans I pissed off.

Except for that fact that you are calling people out for years of supporting United just they laugh at your national team and because your team lost and some united players were a part of the team.

That's stamping on the toys after throwing them out of the pram. A lot of you have behaved like kids.

Your team lost, people will laugh just like they did for the other teams and move on. Your kind of posters made it even worse.

Now i will support France in the final as they have pogba who plays for united and being a united supporter, I feel it would be good to support the United players.

Your boys are coming home. Hope you will be at the airport with flowers to receive them. They almost got it home. Hard luck.
