He circled the keeper clearly to indicate an unmarked area of the border where missiles can be taken into the country.

He seems to have that canny ability to do something special on his milestone days as well as big occasions.....like Jordan could for Basketball, probably the only other guy I remember who is on this level as an Sportsman.

He really is in that very small group of elite athletes who are class all round and elevated their sports to an even bigger level which he really has done, because for how popular Beckham was at his peak, Messi is even more popular for what I can gather on my travels.

He is just incredible. I know we won't unless something mental happens but would like to see him at another league to see if he can boss the league as easily as he does in La Liga. I'm sure he could but just want to see.

Too one-footed IMO, he could have scored with his right yet he had to switch to his left

I like the respect at the end of each match that the opposition seem to have for Messi.

Kind of like along the lines of "we know this could arguably be the best player ever, and I was on the field, playing against him. A previlege." (just dont take it too far, like the Leverkusen players, fighting over his shirt  )

Amazing player who score's for fun. Hands down for a great achievement. On club level probably the best ever.

The finishes .... so so cool. The vision ... unworldly.

When it's all over I'm not really sure how much interest I'll still have in football ... I'm genuinely worried.:(

I was essentially thinking the same thing ... they know/appreciate that they're part of something special, even though they're on the receiving end.

If he ever gets bored at Barca and there is no indication he ever will just how much money would this guy cost? I mean it must be getting on for stadium building money.

The weird thing is I've seen some great players but for me he seems to take football to another level. Dream world.

Needs another 39 goals to be their top scorer in La Liga. César Rodríguez has 192 to his 153.

He'll get that next season then.

Its striking how easy football is for him - almost every single thing about the game looks so basic to him. Any other normal good player would have struggled a little to get to an anticpated milestone because of nerves or the like, but Messi just chips and "hattricks" his way there.

Anyone else think that by the time Messi finishes his career, the likes of Pele and Maradona will be relegated to a "level" below Messi?

Handball. Definitely would not be good at that. And Barcelona have a great handball team.

A shot, a chip, and how about rounding the keeper? Another hatrick, and it looks he is trying to satisfy all tastes here.. No penalty though, so almost all tastes..

Shame that Barcelona don't cross much. Very little chance of a bicycle kick.

Act like a twat by diving and cheating unlike the rest of his team-mates.

Super player, surely the best player in the world now and ever.
