Naughty. He can go to AA with Firmino.
Should be arrested for drink goalkeeping
Cannot blame him, imagine coming from winning WC back to Spurs.
It’s pretty disgusting how many footballers have been guilty of this and get away with it.
Naughty boy indeed! No laughing matter - anyone who does stupid things to endanger lives of others through their carelessness deserves punishment.
Anyway, in footballing terms - what does this mean for the Spurs game? Is he likely to miss out? And if so, is their back-up any good?
Scumbag, a slap on the wrist and a meaningless fine it is
It's even more ming boggling when you take into consideration that those feckers are paid what they are paid and surely can afford a fecking taxi.
Hope he lands in the same ГУЛаг as Salah.
Is this as big a deal in Europe as it is in the states for athletes? For an American athlete, this would be a fine and a public apology and move on to the game.
He must be too overwhelmed by Spurs new stadium untill it drunk his head.
Is it custom for PL players to party until the middle of the night, in the middle of the week?
Get a chauffeur Hugo, it's a fecking stupid thing to do, drinking and driving that is.
He probably won't even make an apology. It happens all the time.
That’ll go straight into Levy’s little black book of things to use against players during contract negotiations, simply titled ‘Levyrage’
Would rather them do it then than on a Friday night like the rest of us.
I look forward to Glaston explaining why this is actually a good thing.
Heh, he probably has a black-book of fetishes, rages and deviances of everyone before he signs them.
Well in that case.... Cheers
It's a better excuse than concussion, fair play Hugo.
Chances of winning Monday now at 8%
I'm going to sit back and watch the media lynch him like they did with Rooney
He would have been an un-used starter if he was to have played on Monday. No drama for Spurs.
Poch will be fuming. It was on a training day as well.
I can see him getting stripped of the captaincy.
What exactly do you mean he got away with it? He was caught! And without knowing his alcohol level, let’s not immediately jump to the conclusion that drinking 2-3 beers will severely put lives in danger. If he was smashed, then feck him, but do we know that?
In France, he has the image of a "nice guy", that's why they gave him the armband after 2010 lmao
A shame, he's highly mistake prone, not at all as good as people would have you think and I'd much rather he been in the mix against us than their backup who surely can't be much worse.
Should've given him a breathalyzer instead.
He was delivering concrete to the new stadium and testing Spurs's late batches of Casillero Del Espuelas.
Was clearly drunk in the WC final, as well.
Any chance that he won't start against us because of this?
Spot the drink driver didn't take long
Marcos Alonso killed someone and can strut out onto the pitch and pick up a sickening wage.
Well there's a reason the limit for pilots is four times stricter than for drink driving. The drink driving limit in the UK is one of the most relaxed in the world.
Never understood why players on massive wages drink and drive. Just get a £5-10 tax ffs..
Which is worse:
A. Taxi driver telling his friends he dropped Lloris home and he was bollocked drunk (which no one would believe)
B. Being caught drink driving, named and shamed / risk ban.
How stupid of him.
I don't know what is wrong with these footballers it's like they have no common sense.
Tbf the Rooney story had quite a few more moving parts to it.
Separate names with a comma.
