They're already playing boring football, let alone with LvG.

He could do fine. Contrary to the believe here he's not some sort of Moyes. He's had lots of success at different clubs and countries. He couldnt manage the shambles Moyes left, but neither has Mou so far.

LVG is the least sympathetic person in football and a lunatic dictator, but e's not a bad coach. Just not a fit for United.

He’s the last coach this Everton team needs. I supported him for a long time here but his football with that slow team in a league that hasn’t changed at all in 2 years isn’t going to work.

He could do well there. Contrary to the popular opinion on here he is/was a top coach, he just didn't fit United. I thought he wanted out of football after us though.

He'd be a terrible signing for them. They need someone there who has a chance of still being their manager in 2/3 years. With the money they have now it could be a really good job for the next manager if he starts getting it right but I don't see LVG succeeding at Everton, regardless of his cv. His signings and management of us was poor.

Yes I agree it will work in Everton. He will have the time to get his philosophy across and they have no expectations of being in an European competition or to win anything. So he steadies the ship and implement his philosophy.

Great motivation for him as I think Koeman and LvG dislike each other, he'd relish the chance to show him up.

Would love to see that tbh. Still like the guy even though I didn't want him at the club anymore.

He has one of best records against top 10 sides, especially big 6 sides. we'd be more worried If Everton hired him, cos he may sort out Everton before next season and he will be capable of going to toe with big 6 clubs as underdogs.

I like LVG and would generally enjoy seeing him back in the PL.

However, I watch quite a lot of Everton and I'd rather not be subjected to his football again.

Everton fans were ripped off by their previous owners for years. Always near the bottom of investment tables despite being a 'top five' club at one time.

On the other hand I remember their 'no blacks' policy, when Red Issue always depicted their fans in ku klux klan pointed headgear. That was funny.

Yeah, I'd like to see him in the PL again just to see how it unfolds. He is a likable guy and very entertaining when he is on camera.

They have never been entertaining. You forget Moyes was their manager for a very long time. So LVG is exactly what Everton needs now. But it could get worse for the bigger clubs. Two to three years of him and then they probably would start playing good football. Keep possession and then scoring too. One chance and one goal wins. With the TV money around he could make them a top 6 club.

Can't see it happening at all. An arrogant guy as LVG won't take a club in relegation battle. He won't find anyone to tell him how great his philosophy is.

you know what elmel, he actually might. Here he gets to show the arrogant English how he can implement his football philosophy. He is given a few years and no expectations of winning anything. Everton has a decent squad. He will bring a a few young players with potential and turn them around.

Wow, slightly optimistic man! He’s 66, he’ll never stay there for three years. Not saying he won’t be OK, but the level in the Premier League is so high right now - at least the level between top six and 7th.

Not so much pressure on him there. He could build something.

West Ham vs Everton will be the most funny and entertaining 0-0 shitfeast of the season. I bloody hope they get him in. Also hope we totally destroy both West Ham and Everton away from home as well! A bit sad Moyes will not come back to Old Trafford unless he actually manage to reach cup semi final or very early Fa cup game.

Didn't Rooney essentially release/leak a statement blaming LVG for everything while absolving himself of all blame? Could be an interesting reunion. He was completely out of touch and delusional by the end anyway, made me hate watching our matches. Some good matches and an FA Cup win, but for the most part it was turgid soul destroying nothingness.

I wonder what would have happened if LVG stayed one more season developing Martial and Rashford.
Not many players in the league are better than that version of Martial under LVG.

He does not have to play entertaining football at all. They will accept him if gets them going and get to Europa league and a top 6 or 7 finish. He could be there for 3 years and lay the foundation of a good side and someone else comes in and takes over.
No matter what he is a top class coach. He knows what he is doing. He did stabilize United after the disaster of Moyes. It is easier for these kinds of school master kind of coaches to coach a smaller club rather than a big club that needs instant success.

He would bring alot of big hopes to the youth as he i known to bring them through.

He will also buy decent young players and i think he will go for bigger technical players this time.

He will at least get them defending proper and will get the best out of the youth team so might work out well.

I think he is cool so hope he does and takes his anfield winning ways to everton!
