Ever heard of the youth academy? And I am not even a fan of the obsession over youth players normally ffs.

They could win the league while playing some youth and rest their key players for the CL. But no, Pep gets out the violin in anticipation of another chequebook.

Just unreal. 5-6 bad tackles in an entire season and again they start acting like they are the first team ever. I can actually imagine the meeting.

"We want to win the quadruple, part one was to spend like a sex tourist, part two is, you know, ask you guys to ask players to stop tackling us."

'Butchered' sums it up for me. Their manager and players are behaving like posters on a football forum

Club standing up for its own interest shocker. Who cares really.

    Or you thinking this works?

I'm not even going ask what it is I "think works." This is a forum, the above is my take on their latest victimhood, and it's not as simple as standing up for own interest otherwise you'd have clubs doing the same every week.

You would think nobody cares but since their players and manager have seemingly launched a media campaign to draw attention to it, it's being spoken about

I'm sorry that came across a bit confrontative. I'm just as annoyed by it just thought that I'd share trusted practice on how to deal with it. Apologies.

Embarrassing. But they know the league will bend over for them so probably worth a punt.

They basically want as much help as possible to win the quadruple. I hope the referee association tell them to feck off about a meeting.

The worst challenge was done by a championship player on Sané. Granted he should have been red carded.

The only other one was Pucheon on KDB but even that was plown out of proportion. He scissor kicked him either side of his legs. It’s not like he studded straight into De Bruyne’s foot.

And anyway Man City have had their fair share of tactical fouls this season. Just enough to interrupt play but don’t warrant cards. Happens time and time again with teams managed by Pep.

Actually Alli's was probably the worst, not Puncheons. Kanes too but that looked unintentional.

Tactical fouls (something you never ever said till Jose told you to say so, just like he's convinced you guys you gave him a squad on a par with Southmapton) aren't a risk to player health and safety.

This is absolutely ridiculous. They are the 12th most fouled team in the PL and only 7 clubs have had more bookings. They commit their fair share of fouls too so I don't understand the double standards.

I'm surprised they are so low on the most fouled league, given that they average around 96% of the ball.

To suggest football fans only discuss the concept of 'tactical fouls' after mourinhos comments is pretty petty and categorically not true.

To bleat on about health and safety (again) shows just how influential these people are to some. It's a contact sport, some players make dirty tackles that should be punished, sometines those tackles are dealt with poorly by refs. City are absolutely not being targeted or 'butchered' and their constant whinging is truly pathetic. Delle alli is a good example since you seem so horrified by that tackle all the time- was it because it was a city player- no. He does that to nobody's in the Europa league.

City have a victim complex. But then, that doesn't stop them behaving similarly appallingly with regards to other issues.

What does the overall amount have to do with the amount of potential leg breakers we've been hit with?

You mean the Alli and Cardiff challenges? Both bad challenges but Alli is a dirty cnut period.

Every tackle is a 'potential leg breaker' so if you're taking issue with something or becoming indignant , a more specific complaint would help your argument. The fact is many people don't agree that some of the so called butchering city has been on the end of has been all that bad.

A city poster here recently posted a pic of the impact of all these horror tackles lately, it turns out one of them wasn't even in the game he said it was, in fact the player tackled wasn't even playing that game . It was just a tackle from months ago that looked bad in an image.

Not to mention the appalling diving in cases when not even touched- so don't tackle hard and don't touch them at all, in fact just stay out of their way.

The bottom line is that the only difference between city and any number of teams is that they are moaning like little girls about every semi tough tackle they receive.

It's genuinely pathetic from city to not shut up and get on with it. Of course I'm not talking about isolated cases where bad tackles occur, that player should rightly be criticised. But just how much should we sanitise the game so Guardiola can rest easy?

Fernandinho is a nasty lil fecker and has gotten away with it couple of times at least. That stamp a couple of games back was horrible. Did he get anything in retrospect for it?

Please don't foul us and just let us play our game like we want to and win everything.

Pep blatantly trying to influence the refs so he gets his own way with everything. He doesn't talk shit when his players commit their cynical fouls.

If the referee association implements any new rules, they better make sure it's for all teams and not just for City's benefit.

Just another reason to despise that shit club and egotistical manager even more. This is what happens when everybody continually spouts all this City crap all the time. They're starting to believe their own hype. The FA should tell 'em to feck off!

I wish people would read things properly. They have openly said this isn't a one club issue and it is something meant to benefit all.

It's all about the re-refereeing of games and giving suitable punishment if it deserves it. It isn't just City who have been on the end of some shockers, although there have been some absolute horrors in the past couple of months that have only been given a yellow card. I look at the Alli one on Sanchez as something that would be looked at. For me that was a red card but instead the referee gives a yellow and then it can't be reviewed. Rubbish rule that needs changing for the better.

You honestly need to stop being clouded by rivalries and look at the bigger picture. Tackles are part of the game. Fouls that go beyond the reasonable limit aren't and never have been, regardless of your Vinnie Jones examples etc.

If you really think they're not just looking out for their own interests then you're a bit naive. Why have they not involved other clubs in this 'meeting'? They are going to say it's not just about them aren't they? And it's not as if they're free from blame either with Aguero...and who could forget that Thatcher sickener, though it was some time back. They should just shut the feck up and get on with it.

You've just brought up two occasions that have no place in this argument.

Aguero was sent off and Thatcher was given an 8 match ban after receiving only a yellow card.

They are talking about occasions when a yellow card is given and then can't be revisited.

So they're doing it on behalf of 91 other clubs that haven't been complaining? Guardiolas constant referencing it from city's point of viewand his players hyperbolic interviews- those things didn't happen?

Give it a rest. Yet again criticism of their shambolic behaviour is lazily classed as just being biased and driven by rivalry

Absolute joke. Fernadinho has been sent off twice this season for horror tackles, add that to his stamp last week and he makes up nearly half as many of the bad tackles City are complaining about?!

Until they bin off Fernandinho and Ageuro (another guilty of horror tackles) they don't have a leg to stand on (no pun etc)

The Fernandinho red cards were last year but again you're missing the point. Those tackles were given the correct red card punishment. The tackles City have faced, have all been given yellow cards or less.

Nothing in that, though if it's in the context some people seem to say it is, it's just another hypocrisy from saint pep, who not months ago was saying how he would never ever ever disrespect another coach.

Would absolutely love to see guardiola take a challenge like Neville took on, club in turmoil, no opportunity to sign players. He wouldn't even dream of it, which says more about him than Neville.

You're living in cuckoo land. Regardless of whether they were sent off, banned, whatever, doesn't alter the fact that City players have been just as dirty as the the ones they're accusing this season. The tackles have been dangerous, potentially injuring players and affecting team operations. That's the bigger picture....not the issue around whether players are carded are not. It's funny how it's only become an issue now that they have a chance of winning something.

I'd just call it a day, mate!

Bit tiring this new City lot. First they don't have enough money to compete with United for certain players as they have a strict wage cap, then they don't actually have enough players, now the players they do have aren't protected enough. :boring::boring:
