    or known as Mandzukic.

He's a proper warrior, and scorer of important goals. The Drogba of Croatia, and will be a big loss when he retires from their NT. At 32, he's still running around in 120 min. How many more years he'll be around? He's one of those players that seems like they can play until they are 50 y.o. or something.

I hope this season this thread will move to Player Performances Forum.

Average player according to some on here, while being selected in 3 fantastic teams and always scoring in big games. Croatian Drogba is a very astute observation.

Would want him on my team if we were in extra time during a WC semi.

Average is considered a praise. In my conversation in transfer tweet thread regard our rumored interest in Mandzukic, the other poster outright called him crap.

Proper big game player, wouldn't surprise me if he scored in the World Cup final as well.

He would be a great signing. Can play on the left or up top at a high level.

Being a cnut and a physical presence is about the best of what he has to offer, we need to get away from that type of shit at United, it's not what we are about.

    Highly disagree.

His link-up play is very good and he can score crucial goals.

And his defensive pressing is good.

Always thought he would fit very well to a team coached by Mourinho and i think he would be a great back up for Lukaku.

The other poster already explain the skill. I want to talk about the level of the players. If that shit can consistently get into final of big competition and title winner, challenger every other year, then why not?

Because it's not who United are, just like it's not Barca or Real Madrid, I love the traditions of what Manchester United is and how we play, I don't want us going down the road of this type of player and football, winning isn't everything.

Mandukic according to Glenn Hoddle. That's what you get for pronouncing his name wrong time and again.

It's not a way, it's simply an identity, exciting, dynamic football played on the ground with fast, mobile, exciting strikers, young flair players on the flanks, not lumping balls into the box and grinding teams down with gamesmanship and dirtyness, we don't need that, we never have.

fecking hell. He's good enough for Bayern and Juve and good enough to send his county to World Cup Final but he's not the right type of player for United. Utter horse piss!

Did you see him before the game, in the tunnel? I'd have him tested for drugs, he was staring into a different dimension.

(I'm not serious, he's obviously just very intense).

Then remember Mandzukic was the one leading the line when Bayern winning the Treble. That team also play dynamic, passing football on the ground too. Can switch from possession based to swift counter depend on situation. Mandzukic has more to his game than just solely a target man. He is ulitized wide for Juventus yet still playing a lot for a reason.

Edit: I think you mistook him for Mario Gomez. Mandzukic displaced Gomez at Bayern a club who is proud of promoting German player and Gomez is a decent scorer, but lack other dimension in his play

As if Juve would sell. The only hope is Mandzukic wanting to leave. But they will sell Higuain for bigger bucks

Bayern and Juve have just much of identity and history as we do, if not more. He was a great servant for those two great clubs but he's not the right type of footballer for United. Yeah that is horse piss.

Your idea of United being some sort of a club that is only for dynamic flair players is bizzare.

Just like you didn't want Lukaku at United and preferred Morata?

... Yeah I think I'll take your analyses about potential United strikers with a pinch of salt, especially considering the season/ World Cup Lukaku has had.

    Not in this thread.

There was a reason Pep got rid of him as soon as possible and then Simeone did the same.

Bayern and Juve do not have the same type of identity as Manchester United do, to suggest they do is where the horse piss lies, both sides are top dogs in their countries, that is all we have in common with them, they are pragmatic machine type of clubs, huge success but no fixed identity, we have one even if some fans want to feck it all off.

You can do whatever you want, Lukaku did better than Morata, I wasn't the only one that thought he wouldn't, Raoul did as well, but when I see guys creeping back through posts to try and win points it's just pathetic, Lukaku will never be good enough for us to be anything more than a team that makes up the top 4 numbers and I stand by that, no matter whether he has turned out better than Morata or not.

Pep has problem with forwards who fits well in other dynamic set up.

MandUkic was few goals apart from Griezmann who were both top scorer and that after he was frozen out of the team for later part of the season. His problem was personal with Simeone, not tactical. The following few years Atletico struggled to find the partner for Griezmann and they even bought back Diego Costa. Diego Costa is not really different type of forward. Why him if it's about tactic?

Pep has a problem with forwards that sren't technical wonders who can play anywhere across the front 3, I mean even Lewandwoski can drift he is so slick on the ball.

That's fair enough, Simeone is a firebrand and they clearly clashed peronsally moreso than stylistically.

Under Fergie we had Park who was a defensive winger and definitely less talented than Mandzukic. And when was the last time we played dynamic football? 6-7 years ago?
