Awful co-commentator, it's so annoying that the BBC have inflicted him on us again. His highlight was suggesting that that Fellaini would be looking to take revenge on the Preston player.

Absolute weapon of the highest order. Disliked him since the Ruud incident and still do, to this day.

I'd love us to get through this tie then smash arsenal in the next round with him commentating.

He's the only thing that's keeping me entertained while watching this crap.

Would hate it if this was a Liverpool match though.

He was one of the biggest cnuts as a player, but he's not that bad as a co commentator is he?

Take him over P Nev's bland tones any day

I rarely get annoyed because of a commentator, but tonight I've had enough of it. He's so biased against us and negative towards us. He's a fecking thunderous epicunt.

He's been so ridiculously anti-United tonight, it's crazy.

Even putting aside his ridiculous bias, almost everything he says is factually incorrect.

On the opposite side of the spectrum, was streaming a United game at Old Trafford, can't remember who it was against but the co-commentator was talking about how Old Trafford is such a hard ground to come to, how when his side usually came here they lost and just generally praising United in an over the top manner.

I didn't realize who it was at first and thought it was just some ex-player from a lower midtable club and then it turned out to be Ray Parlour who I'm sure was part of the team who won the league title at Old Trafford.

There needs to be a balance between the two approaches as I think Ray was trying too hard to be respectful whereas Keown is letting his personal feelings come home to roost instead of being objective.

Seems to think the Herrera goal was fine because Rooney didn't touch the ball. Rooney was still clearly interfering with the GK

Keown "does the ball maybe touch Rooney's shorts?"

Mowbray "no it doesn't go anywhere near him"

The GK hesitates because Rooney's there. A goal was disallowed for an almost identical reason in the West Ham - Arsenal game. It doesn't matter if he's not in his line of sight.

Goalkeeper didn't hesitate at all because of Rooney. Nothing wrong with that goal.

Come off it Barney, if the keeper hesitated because of a player who was nowhere near him and about three yards from being in his line of sight then he's a tool who shouldn't be playing professional football.

The subs board is awful, red numbers for player coming off look like an 8 no matter what number is meant to be displayed. Donkey was trying to make out that Falcao was taking the piss and was sarcastic about being subbed.

He hesitates because he thinks Rooney is going to tap it in to the other side. Not because he reckons he's going to get hurt

That doesn't change the point. Rooney wasn't active or in his way, thus he wasn't offside. If he'd blocked his view then I'd agree it shouldn't stand, but he didn't.
