Can’t wait to see those sexy shorts again.
What exactly does Mike Phelan do?
what does he actually do though?
edit: @rio's upper lip damn you!
Shorts and cones
Argh you covered it already.
Nobody can say they put cones out better than Phelan. Nobody.
Last 5 years have proved it. Welcome back.
This kills me everytime! SAF's reaction
One of the major wrongs of the Moyes era has been undone
Wears 'sexy shorts'
I'm glad to have him back. Just someone familiar and connected with SAF.
Can't wait to see his shorts.
Love Fergie's reaction - "F*ck off!!"
Very happy to see him back. Never should have been let go by the club
Good to have a "senior" figure next to the young coaching team
I remember a lot of people on here wanting him to get out of the club. Isn't he responsible for our play style back in the SAF days? It got a bit boring in the last 3 years. Correct me if I'm wrong. But I definetely remember people wanting him to leave. Or Rene. But I'm happy he's back, we need someone who knows united and the players will respect.
Was going to bump that old thread up but already done
Welcome back Mike, looking forward to the debates on exactly what is it you do again!
Now we just need to get rid of the mop and we can start being successful again.
Forget Fergie. He was the real manager for the last five years.
Wasnt that the headline?
The Return of the Cone Master. I think we will have a good end of season.
Bit confused by the Mop do you mean Fellaini?
This has got to be the best christmas in years!
Looks like the club is starting to take tentative steps back in the right direction. Bring a few more of the the right type of people in and I can see us getting back up. My faith in those who run the club is almost coming back. Please keep this up and push upwards again.
If you mean Fellaini, there are about 10 less useful players in the squad we could get rid of before him.
Thank god. Those cones have been getting dusty over the last 2.5 years.
'It's all about adapting to the moment'
Leave him in Aussie land. We have McKenna now. Hopefully he’ll be given freedom to coach.
Can't wait for the next game.
There was I thinking that there was one more piece to put in place and the man himself appears on Talksport. 'Hello Rene.............'
Good appointment alongside Ole imo.
We don't have a goal keeping coach. Bring back Steele too?
Alvarez is still at the club...
I bet he can't believe his luck
I was under the impression that Phelan, in Ferguson's latter years, orchestrated training and worked with groups of players on the training ground.
If anything it looks like we have been trained to play badly in recent years. We need that drilled out of us.
Makes sense to bring in a coach who understands what it means to prepare a team to play for Manchester United.
Please get him back also. Heard he was very high regarded when he was here
Should never have been let go. His departure on the back of Moyes’ new ‘regime’ was where he rot set in. Fergie didn’t think Moyes would ship him out.
I heard something along those lines too. I think one of Sir Alex' greatest strength was allocating jobs to whoever he thought he needed to, which is something we should do now in my opinion.
