Nobody can say they put cones out better than Phelan. Nobody.

Last 5 years have proved it. Welcome back.

Good to have a "senior" figure next to the young coaching team

I remember a lot of people on here wanting him to get out of the club. Isn't he responsible for our play style back in the SAF days? It got a bit boring in the last 3 years. Correct me if I'm wrong. But I definetely remember people wanting him to leave. Or Rene. But I'm happy he's back, we need someone who knows united and the players will respect.

Looks like the club is starting to take tentative steps back in the right direction. Bring a few more of the the right type of people in and I can see us getting back up. My faith in those who run the club is almost coming back. Please keep this up and push upwards again. :)

If you mean Fellaini, there are about 10 less useful players in the squad we could get rid of before him.

Thank god. Those cones have been getting dusty over the last 2.5 years.

Leave him in Aussie land. We have McKenna now. Hopefully he’ll be given freedom to coach.

I was under the impression that Phelan, in Ferguson's latter years, orchestrated training and worked with groups of players on the training ground.

If anything it looks like we have been trained to play badly in recent years. We need that drilled out of us.

Makes sense to bring in a coach who understands what it means to prepare a team to play for Manchester United.

Should never have been let go. His departure on the back of Moyes’ new ‘regime’ was where he rot set in. Fergie didn’t think Moyes would ship him out.

I heard something along those lines too. I think one of Sir Alex' greatest strength was allocating jobs to whoever he thought he needed to, which is something we should do now in my opinion.
