Yes there are many threads regarding some of their players but this is a thread for their team and the amazing season they're having. They might win nothing but in terms of entertainement they have been brilliant, the best attack in Europe, averaging 3 goals per game.

Jardim is a great manager, the way he has built this team, a lot of manager should take notice.

I put £10 on them @ 66/1 so I hope they at least get to the final.

    So good to watch though.

    Good team to watch.

But their journey ends at the semis. Don't have the greatest defense.

Mbappe is modern version of Brazilian Ronaldo, what a player.

I'd fancy them against anyone but Juve in the next round. Not as favourites but could see them putting the Spanish sides out on the counter.

    So entertaining to watch.

Get the feeling a good defensive team would punish them though.

Any of the 3 remaining teams dismantle them in the semi's. Real or Juve by 3 goals over 2 legs, Atletico the same if their shooting boots are on.
They are a joy to watch but can't defend for shit and they won't put 4 or 5 past any of the 3 left in the CL. Monaco as nice and exciting as they are, are going out in the next round.

They'd score past Real and Atletico. Leicester scored against Atletico ffs and created a fair amount of chances, Monaco are much better than Leicester.

Not saying they'd be favourites but I could see them giving either of the Spanish two a nightmare. Juve I agree there too solid and won't get caught on the counter.

First team to score 3 or more goals in 4 consecutive KOs games. They are awesome to watch.

Also Jardim was very cautious manager but this season he is playing Football manager by downloading hottest tactic available.

How did Jardim go from a relatively cautious, organised manager to favouring such an attacking approach?

They beat Dortmund comfortably and they had several important players missing in both matches. This is as far as they'll go though. All 3 other teams remaining would match up well against them and their defense is a weakness.

Hopefully they manage to win the league

Guess you work with what you got. Playing these lads like a defensive tactical side wouldn't really get the best of em.

They'll score maybe one in each leg vs any team, but do you think they won't ship 4 or 5 to said teams over 2 legs, they have conceded 6 vs City and it honestly could have been alot more for both teams, could have easily been 10-10 with City going through, They only conceded 3 v Dortmund but gave up enough chances to concede alot more albeit they were the better side in both those ties.
They are far better than Leicester but will concede alot more and offer up more chances than Leicester ever will.

If they learnt how to play for the whole game, instead of just one half they would be among the best teams in the world.

They can't they put so much into their game and play with such abandon they are exhausted after 60 minutes. They should have destroyed us in the last 16 but were so exhausted at the end of both games it would have been no surprise had we scored 2 goals more in each game. Same vs Dortmund, if they play without that intensity the would be much easier beaten. Early days under Klopp Liverpool used to run themselves into the ground and if they didn't put teams away first half they dropped points and fell apart. Monaco are no different.

Not a chance they will find it easy against them but so typical in football that when you are not called Barcelona or Bayern, nobody is going to rate you until you've won 10 trophies.

I reckon they're in with a shout of being the most exciting team of the century. Two genuine future ballon d'Or contenders, a reborn former ballon D'Or contender, plus Lemar, Fabinho, Bakayoko, Mendy all potentially among the best in their positions, all 22-23. Add in the style of play and the surprise of it all - they scored ~50 league goals in each of their previous two seasons, yet surpassed it at the beginning of December this season - and they've got to be a contender.

Hope they draw Atletico for their sake, feel like it would be a 50/50 shot between them two. Attack vs defence. Plus Madrid v Juve would be a great two legged tie, though that should probably be the final out of the teams left in it. They're the two best clearly, Monaco the underdogs, Atletico somewhere in between but not exciting so won't have too many people going for them.

They are really good at taking their chances, hitting on the break and exposing weaknesses in the opposition, but they also found two of the most easy victims in City/Dortmund. Two gullible arrogant offensive-minded coaches with the slowest and worst organised defensive set-ups, horrible goalkeepers and individual errors on top. Add the bomb attack and a lot has gone their way in the knockout stages. I think they´d really struggle against the well organised experienced sides like Juve and Atletico. They might have a shot against the care-free Real side.
