"Do you want the truth or what do you want? You want the truth," the United boss said, laughing.

"The truth is Eric Bailly, no chance for the weekend. Phil Jones a chance.

"(Marouane) Fellaini a chance, Zlatan (Ibrahimovic) a big chance and (Nemanja) Matic is injured but will play for sure.

"I'm telling the truth. He's injured but he will play for sure. (Michael) Carrick no chance.

"It's the truth, eh? No stories of (Alexandre) Lacazette, David Silva. All the truth."

Love him, he's just a proper Man United manager for me. I hope he stays for years.

PL neutrals are all buying into Guardiola's hype (won nothing yet), while José just gets on with it (and wins trophies), but he's a ruthless fox.

I wouldn't trade him for any manager at present, and I genuinely mean that.

I think it's all abit weird of a rant if you like. But i am happy to see he's back to his colourful and smug Chelsea self where he would wind opponents up

Come on Jose, you used the same tricks about Jones's avalability a couple of times this season. You cost my fantasy team so many points, bring me this year Champions League trophy as compensation you little pasta

Hopefully Jones sit on the bench. He’s usually rusty after coming back from a injury. This isn’t the game you want your defenders rusty.

    Bailly is a big miss.

Jose has been in his best mode since Arsenal game. His quotes became absolutely hilarious since then.

If Silva does play it'll prove Pep is a liar.

It's nice to see that he is mostly in joyful mood at United,Not like his last stint at Chelsea. Good time lie ahead!

Yeah, sadly he hasn’t managed to build a squad strong enough to actually back this up with a commanding performance but it’s good to see that the ruthless hunter is still in there somewhere. Hopefully we will get to see it very soon.

He was promoted this question on BT interview, post match. I don’t know whether the same question was asked in the press room after the game? I’m guessing it was.

He is certainly building one now. Give this guy two more transfer windows and United will be in full blown beast mode again.

We need Pep to bite on one of these comments if we want City to implode. Hope Jose keeps sniping at him this week.

Pep said Silva is a doubt for the Derby. He says he doesn't know if he will play. That's no different to what Jose said about Matic. If he plays pep is no more of a liar than Jose if that's the bar for lying.

Wenger is the cnut that said Lacazette was absolutely a no, then he magically plays 90 mins for what seems the first time in his epl career.

I'm all for mind games and jokes but pep did no Different to what Jose has done.

Again a load of waffel from Mourinho, gives the impression he is building in some excuses should we loose on Sunday. Should we win then he has even more reason to puff out his chest. Typical Mourinho tactics, never really work, just hope this time jis comments don't come back to bite him in the @rs like the comments/mindgames made before the Chelsea game.

How do you exactly imagine Jose to word this excuse if we lose the game? Just seems like he's poking Pep to slightly infuriate him.

Jose is right that Silva is not a doubt. But I don't think it is mind games by Guardiola either. He's a buddy with Sarri and is trying to justify the exclusion of Silva from the group vs Shaktar. Napoli rely on City winning at Shaktar to go through. I expect a win for Shaktar though. They will be too good for City's team tonight.

Matic? Well, some injuries are not so bad and top professionals can play through them.

Good on Jose for calling the press and Pep out. Seems that Pep is the current media darling, whereas it used to be Jose a few years ago.

For sure. During his first Chelsea spell in particular, Journos used to adore him. If you ever watch the Sunday Supplement show, a few of them still defend Jose to this day. Whereas a lot of them have switched their allegiance to Pep lately. Probably because Jose seemed miserable up until about 2 weeks ago and wasn't giving them the soundbites that they used to lap up.

I'm not a huge fan of Mou, but he's infinitely more charismatic than Pep imho. There is an interview with him where he tells someone a story about Mario Balotelli getting a second yellow. It's hilarious.

And? Literally the only people who'll be getting excited over that are United fans and Mourinho perhaps.

I don't even think he said Silva will definitely be out, just that he's a doubt.

I believe he was referring to the Arsenal game.

Edit: Jose said Matic could make it for the Arsenal game or something like that, while Wenger said Lacazette would not play.
