A BOOZY football fan was stabbed to death in a bar after he sang sick chants about the Munich Air Disaster.

Manchester City supporter Vincent Collins shocked regulars with a terrace song about the 1958 plane crash which killed eight stars from local rivals United.

A barman asked him to stop but Collins, 44, ignored him and instead punched local Paul Moores in the face.

Moores left the pub in Cheadle Hulme, Gtr Manchester, but returned soon afterwards and stabbed the dad of three in the back – shouting: “You won’t be hitting me again,” a court heard.

Collins, of Stockport, died in hospital with a single stab wound.

Moores, 46, denied murder at Manc-hester Crown Court, claiming he could not recall arming himself or stabbing the victim.

But he was convicted of murder and given life.

He must serve a minimum of 15 years.

Det Insp Terry Sweeney said: “This was a senseless killing. Vincent didn’t deserve such a cold-blooded attack.”

Disgraceful. It was a senseless killing. Any 'True Red' United fan on here who defends this killing is fecked up.

Not only is the killing disgusting, but as are the action of the Munich jibes. Both involved are scum in my eyes.

    The Sun.

What really happened was probably that he went into the pub and had a drink, then he went home.

Almost seems like your pre-empting a response. However, I don't think anyone would condone these actions.

The Munich tosser was probably a scumbag but you can't compare what he did to the murderer.

Fair enough, both sides were wrong, but you can't say that singing Munich chants is more or as 'scummy' than murdering someone.

I'm not a "True Red" (or any sort of red for that matter) but this story sounds to me like a complete cnut got killed and a complete nutcase is in prison for a very long time (not nearly long enough though).

I'm not glad or happy about this but i'm not really sorry either.

That's a disgusting comment, he should be banned for life.

The guy was intoxicated, probably didn't know what he was doing/saying. Didn't deserve to die, and the murderer has gotten what he deserves.

    What an idiot!

He had time to think of the consequences in between going home and coming back with a knife.

Yeah a distinction has to be made between the immorality of singing Munich songs and the immorality of killing someone. A lot of posts on here seem to be gesturing towards some sort of equivalence

Still, if you go round singing Munich songs in pubs and punching people, you're likely to get in trouble

Its just a reminder of what todays society is about, you have a big gob on you or have a few two many and say some bad shit theres a good chance you will end up with a knife in the back! Its a sad reflection of whats going on today! I say you should be locked up for 10 years minimum just for carrying a knife! even a butter knife

Have to feel sorry for the victim's family, especially his three kids. He's probably just your typical loud mouth City idiot, certainly doesn't deserved to lose his life like that.
