There is interest in this player Sarabia who plays for Sevilla. They are calling him the new Silva. He is a creative attacking player who can play through the middle or on either wing.

He is 26 years old now and played with Real Madrids second string. Anyone heard of him.

From what I've seen, he reminds me more of James Rodriguez (not as good a play maker though) or perhaps a more attack minded Saul (not as strong defensively) rather than David Silva. I think he also has a release clause of €18/22m which is easily less than half his market value, so it'd be very clever business to bring him in.

He's got 15 goals and 8 assists already this season so he's in cracking form. I think he'll go to Madrid though.

He played against us in the CL. Nothing special and certainly not a player we will sign.

Brilliant player, but we already have many players for his position.

He's s a pretty good player but nowhere near Silva and a bit different in type.

Banega controls the play for Sevilla, Sarabia gets further forward and gets some shots and final passes in with very small amount of defending which is done by Banega and Vasquez.

Pretty good left foot, not quite the Silva controlling possession type but if City didnt have Bernado Silva then Sarabia would be a good squad option to fill in for Silva sometimes. But no he isnt a replacement.

He makes some sense as a replacement for Mata, both as our most productive non-Pogba 10 but also sadly a a decent, not quite star option at RW that we wish was faster.

And I could see Mata leaving in the summer, if we sign a right winger and let Sanchez go but keep Lukaku for another year (my current guess) that probably leaves Mata competing for #5 in the pecking order with the front 3 and Lukaku ahead of him and Mata another year older and Lingard entering his prime. So I could see Mata wanting a move to still be a key player, maybe he could do that for a top side in Italy or even Spain.

I haven't seen Sarabia control games by being constantly available like Silva does, not sure he has the mobility or desire for that, but he does have a great left foot. Seems like a high floor, low ceiling type signing.

he is nothing like Silva. He is a winger/inside forward/offensive midfielder, who can play both centrally and on the wing. He doesn't lack tempo, mobility, dynamism or work-rate, but he certainly doesn't control games. He is quite direct and tries a lot. He is willing to take on players or run in channels. He is a good player, but not a top player and his attempts frequently fail. He was linked to Madrid in the past, so its certainly not impossible that he joins a top team; that said, he'd end up being a hard-working team player and not a star for any top team. He'd be a offensively more capable version of Lucas Vazquez or Lingard.

He's not much better than Lingard IMHO, but he does like to take more risks in the final third. He's a bit more agressive without the ball, and is more confident in his shot, which is quite accurate to be honest.
He can be a game changer in a lot of games, but would be "short" as a starter for a club like United. It would be a fantastic option for the bench, IMHO.

yes, he doesn't fear to take risk in the final third, and sometimes he takes his effort too far. But I do think he's a great option to have on the bench on those tight games where you need someone with guts in the match.

    I disagree.

He'd be a decent upgrade on Lingard and Mata but would still be some way short of the best players playing an AM role. A good signing but not one that says we mean business to challenge the likes of Liverpool and City.

He has played 1 game on the right this season so he might be worse than both Lingard and Mata "on the right wing" for all we know.

James Maddison is better than Sarabia

I first read it as Sbragia. Phew. One Sbragia is enough.
