PFA Player of the Year: RVP

PFA Young Player of the Year: Aguero

Although if people expect Aguero to push RVP for the main award, Sturridge would likely get the Young Player Award IMO.

They really should lower the age barrier for the young player of the year award. Aguero is nearly 24.

I feel sorry for Parker these days. He doesn't put himself on these lists. Poor bloke just tries his hardest and everyone hates the cnut.

RVP and Aguero should win, as it stands.

And why is Chamberlain on the list? He's played about 9 games hasn't he? Talented of course, but player of the season? Behave

I rate Oxlade-Chamberlain but it would be laughable if he won it.

    Van Persie and Aguero.

Van Persie for player of the year obviously and out that list fr young player I suppose Aguero, although if he qualifies for it shouldn't Jonny Evans?

City's best player hasn't been nominated despite about half the City team being on the list.

I know these things are done early, but the only way that list makes sense is if it was compiled at some point in early October.

Just realised Kompany isn't even nominated after all the praise he's gotten.

Does Jonny Evans qualify for young player of the year?

He should be on the list if so.

    Parker?
Also Valencia should be in there. The YPOTY should be u-21 as well, Aguero looks out of place there and it isn't even fair. Why is Hart there? If anything Kompany should be there instead of him. It's not like he's had a very good season this year, he's been simply decent.
Van persie is a clear winner here though.

By february, there wouldn't be many players from United on my shortlist either.

Goes to show how flawed these things are. Seriously, why is the voting held in february? No apparent reason the way I see it..

    Who will win it:

    RvP
    Aguero

    Who should win it:

    RvP
    Aguero

But, the rest of both shortlists are horseshit, really.

Evans would qualify, and I would have him on there due to the rules. But I don't think players older than 21 should be on it anyways.

    POTY - RVP
    YPOTY - Aguero

Rvp and Aguero would be the right choices imo.

Silva doesn't deserve the main award, Rooney would be ahead of him.

Edit: if the voting is done in feb then silva will win it unjustly

Kompany not being nominated and Joe Hart being nominated is just weird.

if Oxlade chamberlain is nominated for young player then Valencias surely had enough good games to be nominated for Player of the year :D

Agree with all of this post

Parker has had a really good season and has become an important part of the Spurs side although his form has now dipped. But he does not ask to be considered player of the year.

    RVP for PFA
Aguero for Young player. An outstanding 1st season in the PL.

I think their lists are a joke.

    But going by that

    RvP & Aguero

Why they have to compile these lists before the end of the season, I'll never know.

Scott Parker - running ferociously around, trying to get to where he was supposed to be in the first place.

People who dont follow united week in wek out still think evans is shit. Likewise, theres probably many players at clubs who deserve recognition but are floating under the radar.

True. I know a lot of people who still regard Evans as shite, likewise Carrick.

Sturridge and Welbeck have had almost the same sort of seasons.

Sturridge - 12 goals in 37 matches(10 in the league)
Welbeck - 11 goals in 37 matches(8 in the league)

Neither of them will win it.

Where's Carrick on the POTY shortlist?

And Evans and Mata has a bigger shout at YPOTY than that Ox fella from Arsenal. He barely played for Arsenal, whereas the both of them are starters and have been one of the better players for their respective teams.

The age limit should be lowered for YPofY but given that he qualifies for it, it'd be madness if anyone but Aguero won it really.

And Welbeck for young player, because Aguero's been around for years (including 6 seasons in top flight European football)
