Good signing in my opinion. Considering that Sanchez leaving was an inevitability I think they've done reasonable business this window. Exactly the player Lacazette needs to be playing alongside if they are to get the best out of him.

Just hope his off the pitch antics don't happen again and he will be a good signing.

A front 4 of Auba, Lacazetta, Mikhi and Ozil?

    Doesn't look good for Lacazette.

100 goals in 119 games the over the last three seasons. I think he's good for 20 goals next year.

No way he would have been untouched by the biggest clubs for all these years if there wasn't something off there. A bit like Lacazette. Not convinced.

    Özil likes this.

Watch his assist numbers shoot up if Aub' is able to convert

Blitzing attack and a turgid midfield and defence.

Good signing for them but it still doesn’t address their three biggest weakened.. 1) crap goalkeeper, 2) crap defence and 3) crap manager.

I always rated him, in that year he wont African player of the year (whatever its called) he looked amazing, blisteringly fast and a good finisher. I wanted us to sign him but he dropped off a bit, if he can perform like that again then Arsenal arent that much weaker after the loss of Sanchez. I think ideally theyd have wanted to keep Alexis, but he wasnt happy and so overall its not bad business from them in January, just have to see what is produced on the pitch.

Without a doubt the best goalscorer in the league next to Kane, will be a good signing for them. They desperately need width and craft in their midfield though.... so what good will it do!?

I think he's a very good player who will score plenty of goals, but with that midfield, that defence and that manager it's not going to make enough of a difference.

They always have that one player that drags them through the mud. Pierre is now that player, unfortunately for him.

Won’t work. What will that be 4-3-3 with mkhi in midfield? Even with elneny xhaka and Ramsey they barely contain other teams

Dont see him and Lacazette playing together to be honest

    -------------Cech-------------
    Bellerin--Mustafi--Koscielny--Monreal
    -----Wilshere-Elneny-Xhaka-----
    -------Mkhitaryan--Ozil-------
    ---------Aubameyang---------

Even Wenger, for all his stupidity surely won't overlook the fact that Auba is a prolific goalscorer when operating through the middle.

If he sticks him on the left wing to accommodate Lcazaette...

I agree, the fact he has remained untouched is what isn't convincing me too.

Chelsea and Liverpool have already played Arsenal twice in the league this season so they don't get to face Aubameyang. Liverpool got 4 points from the two games while Chelsea had two draws.

City - 3 points at the Etihad
United - 3 points at the Emirates
Spurs - 0 points at the Emirates

Losing to Swansea has been the worst thing for Arsenal. Now almost out of the picture but can do damage on Spurs' hopes of finishing in the top four - however with Arsenal facing Spurs in two games time it is probably too soon for their attackers to gel together.

Guessing he won't be eligible for their Europa League run (where he'd be way more important to them) though.

I know people say this is a weird yard stick but usually when clubs steer clear of a player there’s a reason. At 28 it’s strange why another top club wasn’t in for him ...

Personally unless they play a 442 I don’t see how he fits in. Unless it’s for Lacazette. If they try and shoe horn him, Ozil, Lacazette and Mkhitaryan in the same team I don’t think it helps the balance of the team and offers no width. Also teams would have a field day over running their defence...

He has 45 more goals than any Arsenal player since the 15/16 season. The goals to game ratio is extremely impressive.

Good signing. They have done well to replace Sanchez. Little top heavy like Liverpool so I dont expect them to change much. One huge advantage is that hes not cup tied. Although itll be very interesting to see who out of him or Mkhi plays in the EL??
