In the periods we have played good football he has risen to the top and been far and away our best player, and arguably the best player in the league. When we have been poor he has been inconsistent, sometimes being brilliant sometimes looking like he doesn't want to be there. He clearly is as good as we think he can be but he is not Maradona, he can't do it all on his own, and I can't think of another situation where a player that good is in a team as inconsistent as this one. And before you say he should be the one pushing us on, it's impossible in the modern game to be a one man midfield. It's become a game of specialists, Pogba is the creative force and he needs a controlling, defensive presence next to him, and plenty of movement ahead of him. When he has had that, he has been unstoppable. I do agree with you that he seems to be extremely immature and incapable of handling adversity, but i think that's probably just something that comes with the modern star footballer. The best prospects are plucked from real life in their early teens and never have to learn to handle things not going their way. I think Pogba's personality is going to increasingly be the norm.
