Massive result. 2 superb goals and a solid display overall.

Hopefully we'll win against QPR and Arsenal can take something off City.

We had so many crosses cleared. Was never gone scoring from a header today.

Two great goals, showing how good it is to have great wingers.

Match winning saves from DDG in the first half.

Match winning tackle from Rio two minutes before our first goal.

    We are strong favourites now.

City score two late goals and get a point, we score two and get a massive three! This will kill city inside.

What a result. It was getting all a bit desperate towards the end. But yet again we found a way to win. Blackburn defended really well but you just knew a piece of brilliance would break their spirit.

All of our players were pretty good but Valencia deserves to be the hero tonight. He won us the game. I'm still buzzing!

What a difference I think the supporters made - kept driving us on, at least that is the impression I got watching from 5000 miles+ away.

I'm gonna listen to "Forever Young" and just enjoy this.

PS) Please Sir Alex start with Valencia and Young in the remaining games. 4-4-2 works for us. It really does.

Valencia was brilliant but DDG and Rio played a huge huge huge role in the win today. Super saves and tackle respectively.

Have to say, Steve Kean fecked up by not making any substitutions in that game... you could see how knackered they were in the last 10 minutes.

    1/8 on Skybet.

The bag has been unzipped. The Premier league trophy is poised over the opening.

How about Rio's incredible tackle on the Yak just before we scored.

It'll be forgotten about by many but fecking hell, saved us.

TV says we had 37 passes before our second goal. Any one know if that is correct?

Poor for a lot of that game especially in the 1st half where we were too cagey against a side who were looking to hit us on the break and very nearly did.
Thank God Valencia looked like the only one who wanted to run at their defence and deserved the goal.

At the end of the day it's 3 points more and one more game down but I can't honestly say I was impressed

In no way can that be described as a poor performance. In total control, retained shape and kept their heads up against a packed defence. Get the goal and kept possession superbly. What more could've been expected tonight?

    Twitter agrees:

@InsideManUtd: 37 - There were 37 passes in the move for Ashley Young's goal tonight, the longest sequence of any PL goal this season. Aesthetic.

At this stage of the season it's not about being impressed. I'd take the 3 points if the ref came out in a red jersey and awarded us 6 penalties.

Perfect night. Blackburn asked the questions and the players had the answers. They kept their heads, remained patient and were rewarded.

A few complaints could be made. None of our strikers covered themselves in glory, but I'll save all that for another day.

Valencia is on fire, Young should have been introduced earlier and DDG is the form goalkeeper in the league at the moment. The away support was exceptional. The difference in atmosphere between tonight and the Fulham match at OT was unmistakable. It's a shame we haven't got more away matches than home ones ahead of us!

I like Twigg, one of my favourite Cafites and a good bloke. Now I've got to spend an hour with my RAWK_Meltdown Twitter feed because my followers are begging for quotes.

Well played tonight lads, Fergie you're a genius, Valencia you're a beast.

A lot of people are saying why did we start Jones in the middle, we looked so much better when Giggs came on

I think it was pretty sensible. Blackburn away was a big potential banana-skin, one of our endless succession of quasi-derbies, and we could have easily found ourselves swamped.

Fergie just played it safe, is all. Then when they tired he switched it round. It worked.

That tackle by Rio to deny what was a tap-in was unbelievable defending. Definitely the best defender I've ever seen grace the shirt.

Kean is talking more about how good United were than his own team, it's like he's doing SAF's interview for him
