Anyways, all I have to say is that if the players show a lack of passion, this is what you get. They didn't want to compete; they didn't want to battle; they didn't want to take the physical challenges that Bristol were offering them. The players out there wanted the 90 minutes to end so that they could move on to facing better sides.

The team in red looked like the United of old.

They were more adventurous going forward, just more dangerous and probing in their attacks.

We were poor - deserved defeat for us, but credit to City. Hope they go all the way.

Oh Jose. What a feck up, complete lack of tactical plan in the second half and outworked by a Championship team.

    Ffs we are truly mediocre.

We can't keep possession against a championship side!!!

I couldn't really give a toss about the cup but that's terrible for morale going into the Christmas fixtures.

We're never winning a league title while Martial and Rashford are starting, as harsh as that sounds. Just far too inconsistent and don't deliver enough. Compare them to Sane and Sterling who are on the wings at City, they rarely have 2-3 bad games in a short spell. Our two have them on a regular basis.

Gotta give it to them. They didn't give us a simple dam respect and attacked till the end when they could have just parked the bus and waited for the shoot out.

Basically as a unit we can't handle a championship side. Good thing none of our players on our big money

I’m struggling to work out what is the biggest problem at our club.

    Pogba returned....and we lost.
We just did not turn up until they scored against us.
The better team won and we can have no complaints.
    Absolutely shocking.

Poor poor performance. Not taking anything away from Bristol. Some of their passing and movement was great.

Well done Bristol. First goal was a great goal. Second goal, he's actually taken a touch and got a shot away with all our defenders in position. Terrible defending and very disappointed with our attitude in the last 10 minutes.

Don't really care, apparently neither did the players.

Proper Fergie stuff from Jose. In the last 10 minutes none of our players looked like they had any clue whatsoever where they were supposed to be playing or what formation it was.

Thank feck for that. Just can't be assed with this tournament, especially not when priorities have changed.

    Well done, Bristol City.

Hope Jose rips into the players, most of them were in a fecking pedestrian mode tonight, thinking they can take 2-3 players on their own. Rashford, Martial, Miki when he came on, all shit. Pogba carrying the ball and losing it constantly, Blind was a joke, McTominay invisible, Ibra at least scored. Shaw, Lukaku and Lindelof to come out of this match with any credit.
